For a good minute I though that was Tobey and got excited, would have been the biggest "fuck you" to the reboot ever.
Jesus the cgi on spiderman looks real shoddy. I'm sure that it will be better in the finished product, but I would have though they would have made more of an effort for this trailer seeing as it's the big reveal of the new suit and whatnot.
The effects are pretty bad in all of the MCU movies so I doubt it.

Lol look at Tony's face at 1:25
It is perfect. I already love it

Spidey's suit seems very Ditko inspired, a lot more like the classic Spider-Man:

I don't mind the smaller spider on his chest, that's the way it looked in his older more classic designs and that's most likely what they're going for.
The expressive eyes is a nice touch, probably got some help from Stark with that one. I think it looks neat, very traditional, the only real complaint I have about it is that it seems to lack any real texture. It looks a bit like a morphsuit texture wise, which is something I think they could've improved on. We'll probably see more suit variations down the line, though.
I find it pretty neat that I'm rooting for neither side, because I like both characters and see both points of view. I also find the role reversal pretty neat since at the start of MCU you'd see [sp]Stark anti government oversight and Rogers pro government oversight[/sp] but after the events of the movies especially Winter Soldier for Captain America, they've swapped outlooks.
idk stark seems like a huge dickhole in this because it was his own lack of self-control that led to most of his problems

i think this is the angle they're going with, guilt and redemption. so many people are already confused that the bad boy of the group is the one enforcing the rules, so that's what they might focus on
I'm so glad they've put in the [sp]Antman arrow ride[/sp] but I wish they didn't show it in the trailer.

yeah but it seems less like a morally dubious civil war and more like stark just being a dick
when spidey came in it sounded way too amateur. not sure if that's what they are going with but I hope they edit his line there, sounds way too mumbled like an actual teen.
How the hell do the eyes on Spiderman's mask move

He is an actual teen.
And it's a fucking child. I'm pretty sure Peter Parker was well out of college in Civil War...
You know what else is in the book but not in the movie?
Nitro blowing up 600 people, kickstarting the plot.
The key conflict being around secret identities and being able to work within said secrecy.
Tony Stark trying to halt the Registration Act.
Spider-Man publicly unmasking himself.
Anti-registration going underground while pro-registration is actively arresting them.
Ragnarok, a cyborg clone of Thor, showing up to fight anti-registration and killing Goliath before getting deactivated by Reed Richards.
Project 42 and the Negative Zone in general.
The Punisher.
Hulkling.
Tigra.
Luke Cage.
Stature.
Cloak.
Dagger.
Namor.
Captain Marvel.
About 10 billion other characters.
Alex Ross rite?

It sounds like he was about to quip but they cut his line mid sentence so it would fit in the trailer better.
Here's a high-res look at SUPAIDAMAN

Betting they're just gonna throw some big bad in at the end that makes the civil war conflict redundant because "we gotta team up and defeat the bad guy!".
Because Marvel fucking loves "universe changing events" that get reverted within a year.

Ahh okay, his eyes have those little shutter things like camera lenses do. I thought there was some Deadpool/Rorschach shenanigans going on.
That's a lot better. The youtube video you can't pick out the texture so it looks CG and super smooth but that's a perfect mix. Hopefully its easier to tell in cinemas.
Also now with a HD look at the Ditko eyes I really wish they had given him the web pits.
I'm happy they didn't give him web pits.

I dunno', I'm more or less on Starks side with this.
Sure, he may have screwed up but that's exactly why he's trying to fix and taking a step back, whereas Captain America seems to be solely motivated to protect the Winter Soldier because "he's my friend :(", despite the fact that he still seems to be dangerous and, at the end of the day, is still responsible for the assassinations of a number of important people.

except that cap isn't doing it only to protect his friend but also because giving too much power to a single organization is not a very good idea
also why should everyone else take the fall for stark's fuck ups? if he wants to fix things he should fix himself instead of trying to divert the blame like "ALL SUPERHEROES NEED TO BE PUT IN CHECK"

THE REASON EVERYTHINGS FUCKED IS BECAUSE NO ONE IS STOPPING ME FROM DOING STUPID THINGS
Is the suit Parker's? Seems more like a Stark redesign.
Here's a high-res look at SUPAIDAMAN
This looks metalic around the arms a lot. But then around the waist it looks like there are ripples.
I wonder if this is the Iron Spider suit redesigned for the Movies by Stark for Spiderman, or if it's his basic suit we'll see across all his films (unless they change).
Is the suit Parker's? Seems more like a Stark redesign.
I think we'll see two variations of the suit in this film. The one in the trailer is probably after he meets Tony, there will probably be a rougher more amateur looking one earlier on.

Well we already know Thanos will show up and kick their shit in for two movies straight.
I hope this film ends with everything in strife and everything going to shit
That way, Thanos appearing in the next film acts as logical motivation for them to put their shit aside for a bit.
I liked the trailer- bit spoilery, but who didn't expect spoidy to show up at some point. Couldn't help but be reminded of something, though...

If they stick to the comics then [sp]Captain America will get his shit thoroughly kicked in, although they'll probably keep out the part where he gets murdered in prison.[/sp]
