CZs are universally praised guns what are you talking about
He's probably just retarded.
Quality firearms: Also, at least Browning highpower frames require no epoxy in the magazine well. Oh I'm sorry that came standard from the FUCKING FACTORY. Perhaps we will just fill our casting marks with BONDO so nobody fucking notices.
Yep, retarded. There's no epoxy in my CZ's mag well. Do you actually own any firearms? or are you just one who likes the look of one and decides all are shit in comparison?
HarryLerman stop crying ITT HarryLerman gets angry and passionate about something nobody cares about
Damn you liberal Americans if you don't send a Remmington 870 or a Mossberg 590 via pigeon now!
Damn you liberal Americans if you don't send a Remmington 870 or a Mossberg 590 via pigeon now!
I doubt a pigeon could lift my 870.
African swallows all holding onto a string attached to the gun. High five for reference getters.
:hf:
870 best shotgun ever, followe by the Remington 1100 IMO
I bought the Glock for it's simplicity and the fact I could easily work on it myself if I ever had to. I like being able to know a carry pistol inside and out, and Glock offered that to me. I was originally going for a M&P9 till I held both and decided the Glock was the better one for me. Add to that the fact you can buy parts anywhere you want. Quality firearms under $500. All of the CZ line of pistols can be had for under $500 and they're extremely high quality. Steyr pistols can be had for around $400ish Rock Island Armory makes some pretty decent entry level 1911's for around $400. Taurus PT92 can be had for $400-$450 (Yes I agree Taurus is shit but the PT92 is their one and only good pistol) CZ clones (Baby Eagle, ect) go for less than $500 Ruger P series less than $500. FNP's less than $500 depending on your area. There's definitely more out there but I can't think of them right now. Like I said, you don't need to spend alot to get a quality pistol. I'm not denying that you don't get something good when you buy a high priced pistol, but alot of the time you're paying extra for the name.
Guess I need to go to the gunshops then, stuff must have came down in price. Amazing that the FNPs are that low, they're still going to be around $500 after tax though. The Steyr handguns aren't under $500 new, unless I'm missing something. The ruger p series I would be leary of after having fired a few. No experience with the rock island armory stuff other than reading lots of comments on forums from people saying "you get what you pay for" in reference to having bought one. Never seen a raving review or anything. Taurus I'm so burnt on I can't even look at a gun with the name on it. Having had owned a few, and a friend just recently buying one that has all the same issues mine had... I'd own a hipoint before a taurus. I'd like to try one of the CZ110s they made, which was a CZ100 with traditional double action instead of DAO. I'd just have to say, while yea we're seeing stuff under $500, it's still basically $500 by the time all is said and done. You can get used Sigs and HKs for less than $500 that are every bit as good as they were when they were new. Just something to keep in the back of your mind next time you're looking at all the handguns under the glass. There's really nothing there (worth while) to bridge that gap from the hipoints to the $450-$500 range. Same way on optics. I'm not going to pay $600 for a new aimpoint, but I'm not going to lowball and buy some piece of shit from walmart either. So I sit around on ebay and wait till one pops up used at a price I can afford. I grabbed a comp M2 for $280, with an aimpoint QRP mount. Hell, retail that would have been over $600 worth of stuff. Yea it hurts, but the quality difference ends up being well worth the price. Which is really all I've been trying to say all this time. Plus if I was stuck on buying new, all that $280 would have landed me was a burris fast fire. I could also turn around and sell that aimpoint for what I paid more than a year later, more than likely.
I'd sure like to know where you're finding the cheap Sig's and HK's. Used sigs go for around $600 here and they're not even CPO.
African swallows all holding onto a string attached to the gun. High five for reference getters.
Monty Phyton and the Holy Grail? I fart in your general direction!
monty phyton and the holy grail? I fart in your general direction!
and your father smells of elderberries!!
Monty Phyton and the Holy Grail? I fart in your general direction!
High five
African swallows all holding onto a string attached to the gun. High five for reference getters.
But African Swallows are non-migratory.
Gun shows.
I'm a good 2 hours away from the closest gun show, sadly.
I'm a good 2 hours away from the closest gun show, sadly.
Half the shit is most likely hot anyway.
Ok, my dad put $100 down on a Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine today. Now we just need the Permit To Aquire to come back :v:
Permit to acquire, annoying Australian gun laws
Permit to acquire, annoying Australian gun laws
Yeah, true. But once you get the first in a category, the wait is only like 5 days. so after the nagant, we only need to wait 5 days.
I don't see why anybody has objections to waiting periods.
Any AK owners here? After my saiga conversion I've noticed it's really hard to get your nose down far enough to use the sights. The only way to manage is to rest my cheek on the relieved section of the stock right against the receiver. I'm not too keen on putting my eye against the back of the receiver, but then again I've never had a gun with a traditional AK style stock on it. Is this what you're supposed to do? [editline]12:25AM[/editline]
I don't see why anybody has objections to waiting periods.
Because it's ridiculous if your background check shows you're clean.
Because it's ridiculous if your background check shows you're clean.
"Because it's rediculous"? By what standards? What about people who have clean criminal backgrounds but want a gun because they're suicidial?
"Because it's rediculous"? By what standards? What about people who have clean criminal backgrounds but want a gun because they're suicidial?
Why shouldn't they be allowed to shoot themselves if they want? They're allowed to go buy over the counter drugs and over dose.
Too far. [editline]12:38AM[/editline] Too fucking far.
I've got an AK, can't say I have that problem, it's probably because of the weird sights on the Saiga, AK sights are much higher I think.
Yea the sights on my saiga are just pistol sights and they're RIGHT AGAINST the gas tube.
Suicide is actually against the law It's kind of like selling a gun to someone who wants to commit a murder with a clean record
"Because it's rediculous"? By what standards? What about people who have clean criminal backgrounds but want a gun because they're suicidial?
They'll just go find some other way to kill themselves, such as jump of a bridge or OD on painkillers It already takes about 3-6 months to get a gun licence in Australia then you've got to put another month on that the get your permit to acquire 1-2 months to process your application for a gun licence 1 month to get into a mandatory TAFE course on firearms 1-2 months to get a response from the police after you finished your course 1 months for your permit to acquire. What's really ridiculous is that paint ball and airsoft guns are considered firearms in Australia and thus require a gun licence to own. They also have the same storage requirements as real guns so you've got to go out an spend $700 on a safe [editline]02:49PM[/editline]
Suicide is actually against the law It's kind of like selling a gun to someone who wants to commit a murder with a clean record
They use to have the death penalty for attempted suicide :downs:
