I do belive we are forgetting about the M134

Any weapon in question can be really heavy but at the most it has to have the ability of being picked up and moved into battle. I think I'm pushing it with the DShK already, anything bigger than that just isn't a small arm.
Would the .50 BMG gunk the shit out of the breech?
How would it? It turns your AR15 into a retarded bolt action. [editline]11:50PM[/editline]
Why would it have to be side fed? It would be like an SR25 but bigger
.338 lapua is too large to fit in an AR10 magwell much less an AR15 magwell. Bushmaster apparently made a 1 off .338 lapua with all custom parts. Still a stupid idea, it's basically just a whole new gun.
Do an article on the SIG 550
Do an article on the SIG 550
Didn't that appear in the Weabooo weaponry thread and it's counter part appear earlier in the original Fantastic Firearm thread?
Didn't that appear in the Weabooo weaponry thread and it's counter part appear earlier in the original Fantastic Firearm thread?
I don't know about weabooo but he did do one on the SIG SG-540. The 550 is a different weapon however.

What about the Nordenfelt?
How about the Browning M1917/1919? Perhaps the 1919, since the 1917 is so similar to the Maxim/Vickers.
Can you review the Heckler and Koch MP5 SMG?
How about the Browning M1917/1919? Perhaps the 1919, since the 1917 is so similar to the Maxim/Vickers.
He did the M2. [editline]12:35AM[/editline]
Can you review the Heckler and Koch MP5 SMG?
#19

Hmm, do Mortars count? If so do that German 81mm thing. Responsible for more deaths in the 2WW than anything else I read. German Mortar crews were very, very, good at their job. And the mortar was almost as popular as the machine gun with German units.
Probably not more than anything else, but I would still belive it killed its share of soldiers. An article on this or other portable units capable of indirect fire support would be rather interesting and relevant now that Bean-O have covered anti-tank rifles and bazookas (what else to call them?).
Beowulf [editline]10:04PM[/editline]
That's .50 Beowulf, not .50 BMG. Compare these two images using the 5.56 for reference. Also, the 5.56 round has a muzzle velocity of 945m/s, the Beowulf is 600m/s and the BMG ranges from 882 - 928m/s
Can you review the Heckler and Koch MP5 SMG?

Check this list before requesting stuff. 16)... 17)STEN 18)SMLE 19)MP5 20)Mossberg 500 21)Dreyse Needle Gun 22)PPSH-41 23)...
Read. What's so great about the PIAT? Other than the fact that it was a bitch to load and is the most cumbersome thing ever.
Do the Walther P98.
ugh................. Didn't you bother to search the OP?
Irrelevant to thread, but does the orange based avatars indicate that you guys all like to take it up the pooper?
What's so great about the PIAT? Other than the fact that it was a bitch to load and is the most cumbersome thing ever.
It was quite clever. If you held the recoil you didn't need to pull back the spring again. It was powerful too. Jeremy Clarkson's father in law won a VC taking out tigers with a PIAT and a 2 inch mortar (held and used at the horizontal.) at Arnhem.
ugh................. Didn't you bother to search the OP?
I did, i could not find it. And i am not gay, i just like oranges.
Do you have something against the MP-40? Because you've completly ignored us requesting it and it was a rather important weapon in WWII
Irrelevant to thread, but does the orange based avatars indicate that you guys all like to take it up the pooper?
They used to mean that but I think that it got lost in the translation. Ontopic: If I were to join the army (hypothetical question) would I be issued a left handed SA-80 or made to fire it right handed? I heard it ejects casings straight into a left handed persons eye.
You'd be forced to fire it right handed. To be honest, many weapons are like this. Particularly with bull pup rifles. I 'd have the same problem as you. I guess some would be made GPMG gunners or something. But generally, you are made to use the right shoulder. That is another good thing about the L1A1, it was ambidextrous.
He did the M2.
The M2 is a .50 caliber weapon, the 1917/1919 is chambered in .30-06. Not to mention they look pretty different :)
Thanks guys.
That's one of the many flaws of the SA-80, almost every military bullpup out there (such as the AUG and FN2000) is either ambidextrous or can be changed to suit left-handed shooters. You should never have to re-train a soldier to use their weak hand, it's a waste of time and they won't be as good as the naturally right-handed. Also I am not ignoring the MP-40. Never assume that I am stonewalling a request. Sure, I am putting it off a bit but that doesn't mean I won't do it. Right now I'm doing a section on particularly heavy weapons.
So, Bean-O, are you a Heavy Weapons Guy? :smug:
