Have you done the AS-50 ?
One, i'm pretty sure it was reccomended before. Two, it's too new to be considered fantastic. You would know this if you bothered to read the thread.
Do one on the finger gun

What was that 6 shot thing Jim Bowie had in the John Wayne version of the Alamo?
118)M95 Steyr Mannlicher
8x58mmR
It's 8x56mmR.
Anyway, great article, I got one of those myself for $80, wonderful firearm, kicks like a fucking mule though.
Have you done the AS-50 ?
It's pretty new, although many of the people who used it can't stop jizzing.
Have the thread renamed to fantastic military weapons
Do you use like wikipedia or something
Yes and no. I don't use it for much of the factual content although I am occasionally forced to copy/paste names that I could never otherwise spell properly. The biggest online source is WorldGuns.ru which is also where I swag the pictures from. Much of the content also comes from various books on firearms that I own.
Do one on the SRAW, it's been in service for a good amount of time and created an innovation in anti-tank weapons with it's downward-firing top-attack warhead.
Fantastic Weapons would be a nice new thread.
How about one one the AH-1W or AH-1Z Cobra? And the Mi-24, Mi-28, and AH-64.
If your going to go on to larger guns, the Hughes 25mm chain gun and 30mm RARDEN Cannon (famous for its armour penetrating capabilities) would make good articles.

Awesome Aircraft
Terrifying Tanks
Brilliant Boats
It's all in the alliteration, baby

Awesome :buddy:
I'd personally like a "weapons of the future" thing encompassing all weapons currently under reasearch that are interesting
Wonderful Weapons sounds like a good idea to me, make a new thread encompassing all the blunt weapons and such used before gunpowder. Or you can include gunpowder, just not guns and mortars and the such.
Or not, if firearms is your only weapon related passion.
Why not just Fantastic Firearms Part 3?
All the other suggestions sound corny.
Ingenious Inventions?
COOL CRAP
STUPID SHIT
FUCKING FUCKERS
FAT FUCKS
HAIRY HOES
the list goes on
I don't currently plan on continuing this thread series after this one is locked.
If I will do something next, it will be completely different. If I resume this series or make another weapon/military-related thread there will probably be a sizable time gap. Reasons for this decision are numerous.
-Running out of ideas.
-College about to start again.
-I'm trying to learn how to drive for the first time. Which is going horribly (thanks for giving me a driving permit only good for one month, Californian DMV).
-I'd like to experiment with something not weapon-related for a change.
-I think I could use a break by now.
I have one and it's probably one of the best pistols I've ever had. Only have it jam once and I've probably fired 600 rounds through it.
1 out of 600 isn't very good, in my opinion.
Why are you rating me dumb for that?
*clicks thread* *does a double take* whoa its like i just was in wikipedia but i really wasn't.
that was so freakin weird man
Bean-O, someone needs to make a whole book of this, like printed.
'Bean-O's Big Book of Guns"
Why not just Fantastic Firearms Part 3?

Because the term 'Firearms' doesn't cover vehicles or weapons that don't use burning propellant.
That said, it doesn't cover body armour or Molotov Cocktails. But if someone were to do a thread about military vehicles and weapons other than firearms then the suggested titles would be appropriate
Magnificent Militaria?
So the thread is deceased then? k.
So the thread is deceased then? k.
I would say so.

Publishing books is a lot of work. For one thing I would have to go over all of the articles and re-check every little fact written there. Its one thing to post something on the internet, it is another to publish it in literature. Another cause for concern is that most gun books don't do this thing where they exclusively cover successful designs. They try to cover the interesting, but more specialized or flat out unsuccessful concepts too. Because I don't cover these weapons in my thread, a published compilation of this thread would probably not be very successful. If I did re-write it to include interesting failures it would be like every other gun book on the market.
That and I doubt anyone would take a book on guns written by a 19 year old seriously.
But you guys can feel free to distribute any of my content as you see fit.
Well Bean-O thanks for keeping Facepunchers entertained over your series of threads. You well deserve that respected user status.

If you wanted to publish it I don't see why you cant.
I've been working for the past 3 months on a info book on ISAF vehicles and small arms in preparation for my university degree. Afterwards I might try and get it published :v:
I've found your articles very interesting by the way, thanks :)
I'll be eagerly awaiting your next thread Bean-O.
So good to see so much information in a single thread.
So i went out shotgun hunting for the first time today. My neighbor let me use his ancient 100 year old breech loader 20-gauge. That thing was antique but it worked great. He used his nice little Mossberg ):<.
We brought down a goose and a chipmunk. It was pretty nice I have to say.
