Where did you hear that?

Here's the story. http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5j0d3qIP8JYhLIf5O_jwYtVzb1MZQ
Freakin awesome!
I wonder how much the asking price will be.
Here's another source:

It says that they're buying them for around $220 for each Garand and around $140 for each Carbine.
Oh wow, but you just know the dealers are going to be tripling that price.
What about the Saiga 308?

If they've got the M1 rifles for less than $500 or so I'd take it. Most I'd go is probably around 7.
M1s, both rifle and carbine, are ridiculously overpriced these days.
the m1 garand is a nerd gun, you all just like it cause you saw it in cod2 or saving private ryan. it's the same as the ak47; just because it's good in counterstrike doesn't mean it's a good gun! christ, these kiddies need to get out of here

The NTW-20 is cool and you humorless dickheads need to lighten up. D9 had an array of pretty sweet guns (not ignoring the fact that they were used by a criminal mercenary org above the law).
I love how you just criticized yourself kid.
There will be at least one dealer selling them for 400$ somewhere.
Hopefully.
Those generally aren't in the best condition, though. Are they, or am I wrong?
Even then, there are M1 carbines that are completely torn up with the rifling totally gone and the stocks full of cracks going for hundreds of dollars easy. The prices for those things are astronomical right now.
Just got a Knoxx stock for my 870.

Where do you live that you need a license?
Where do you live that you need a license?
Could be just a permit to purchase. I need one in order to buy pistols and "assault weapons" .
Where do you live that you need a license?
Anywhere outside of the US

Why don't you do one of the 40mm Bofors?

Well, yeah, that would be nice, 40mm bofors is like the AK47, but a cannon version. Widespread and mass-produced.
Yikes. Joshua, I like the M4 a lot, simple is beautiful, but the stock on that 870 looks like it could just fall off at any moment. How does it handle?

It's extremely solid. The look is due to the way the spring action in it works to absorb recoil. The actual butt of it is alot more solid feeling than my AR's due to a very tight design.

Buy a magpul CTR stock.
Those DPMS ones are a joke. My CTR stock is as solid as a fixed stock. Also, Why do you extend it all the way? Totally wrecks the balance of an AR IMO.

I'm getting a CTR soon, actually. I extend it all the way cause it feels the best. Any shorter and it feels like my face to too close to the sights. The balance feels the same though.
I wonder where all the general gun conversations will go once this thread gets autolocked?

Anyone know the rules and procedures for burst fire weapons? Is there any company that sells burst fire m16's to civilians?

Even with the eye relief of a scope on my AR15 I keep the stock all the way in and adjust my face to get proper eye relief. (It drops down to 1) If I was shooting long range(at 4x) I'd draw the stock back a click or 2)
It just keeps the weapon compact and fast. It's equal to a pistol at arm's length if you use it like that.

Same as a fully automatic weapon.
Burst fire weapons fire more than one bullet per pull of the trigger, so it's Class 3 in the US. If you live in a state that allows NFA all you need is a $200 tax stamp and you're good to go.
You also need to not be a felon and not have too many misdemeanors. And be mentally solid.

That actually sounds relatively easy to obtain an automatic gun, I always thought you had to wait years, spend a shitload of money, and be constantly tracked in order to get one.
