:cawg:
RATM are great and they are rock It is relevant to the thread
Also Brighton Rock by Queen: I will never, ever tire of this song.
Also, Dream Theater's entire discography :frogc00l: Their biggest (although not best, imo) song Pull me Under The Count of Tuscany, AMAZING song. I do love it when they sing songs like this. One of the reasons I love Dream Theater so much is their lyrics. This is about a time one of the members (I think John Petrucci) visited tuscany and met the count, as is implied in the name. They do a lot of songs about personal experiences, like A Nightmare to Remember was a car crash one of the members was in. Blind Faith was about Mike Portnoy's alcohol addiction and his overcoming of it, and they do a lot of concept songs/albums as well. Absolutely amazing band. The album Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence's 42 minute song (broken into 8 normal length parts) sings about 6 different people, and how they do (or don't) deal with different mental illnesses. I'll just wiki paste this.
The sixth song — that is, the 42-minute song occupying the entire second disc, separated into eight parts — explores the stories of six individuals suffering from various mental illnesses. Particularly represented are bipolar, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, post-partum depression, autism, and dissociative personality disorder.
Quite easily. I personally like this one: Majestic beast - Amorphis
Otherside -RHCP
Quite easily. I personally like this one: Majestic beast - Amorphis
I've always thought that was the weakest track on the album (maybe because I don't really enjoy it since it's more of a death metal track than a folk/prog metal one. I like Death metal but Amorphis aren't great for it. The melodeath influence in their other songs is nice though) My personal favourite off that album is Heaven of my Heart. Nice folk metal/prog rock/hard rock track. Amorphis do some really beautiful works. There is no real word to describe Skyforger other than a work of beauty and art best album ever
I personally like As I Am for their best song. It's amazing.
Noticed a lot of people saying this. Never cared for it a huge amount, or the album at all really. it's in no way a bad album, I just don't think it's their best work. Maybe I should give it another shot, incase I appreciate it more now
Black Stone Cherry - Lonely Train. Symphony X - Eve of Seduction The second one just has that feel where you just have to sing along as loud as you can.
I fucking LOVE Symphony X and all, but that's progressive/power metal. Pretty sure he's looking for classic rock and the like. {Edit}: Also, Dream Theater is straight-up progressive metal, no other way to look at it. I worship the very ground they walk on, to an unhealthy level, but I still don't think it's what the OP is looking for. And if it is, fucking sweet, another DT fan :D
