i thought lumens is a measurement of the total amount of light a bulb puts out, not how bright it is. so lets say you have a flashlight with 9 LEDs each at 100 lumens, it is then a 900 lumen flashlight, but is no brighter than a single one of those LEDs. the light might cover more area, but it isnt brighter

I think you're right.
I've met people claiming to use 1000+ lumen flashlights on their guns at HGA and I've never experienced one that I would consider "too bright" or "harmful".
Then again, a lot of airsofters have a really bad case of being full of shit and trying to sound cool.

So that 900 Lumen flashlight in question seemed hardly any brighter than my 250 Lumen.
Really it seemed to light up a larger area, and being hit by the strobe from it wasn't nearly as bad as some of the lights I've seen used up there.
All in all, 10/10 day at HGA, everyone played fair, no problems were had.
Also, I had a thunder B explode in my hand, the force just threw it away from me, no pain, but ringing ears. So be careful if you drop a Thunder B, as I've learned today that can be enough force to puncture the cO2 cartridge.

It wasn't bad at all, no one complained when we were in the briefing room strobing each other for the hell of it either. And I had that one Thunder b barely pop in my pouch. But I think that was because I put the c02 in before i primed it.

If i'm correct, all of the markings on my gun are accurate to a specific make and model of M1911A1, like the serial number is in the correct range for the markings it has, stuff like that.
