From my understanding, the Dboys and A&K are both pretty much the same, which means they're both pretty bad. If you're not spending money on them or you plan on upgrading all the internals its not much to worry about, but neither Dboys or A&K do a very good job with their V2 based guns.

Mod 0's and 1's are pretty much what you outlined, minor differences to the gun that allow it to perform differently in the real world, and are mostly irrelevant to airsoft besides appearance.

Damnit man my two favorite kinds of guns are both pretty expensive. SPRs (internal, barrels, cleaning, ammo) and LMGs (internals again, cleaning, maintenance, weight, and AMMO OH GOD) both have high entry costs

maybe I'll just fix my my Cyma AK74 up real nice with some internal upgrades and a sweet chinashit kobra sight

i actually just paint it with watered-down paint, let it soak and then sand it off and each time it gets darker, then i cover it in linseed oil. i am broke right now so this is my method

$550, military markings, dim but intact tritium. Also case, accessories, etc

Overall, I love it. It's a great budget MK18 and IMO looks just as good if not better as those super expensive MK18/M4 Block 2s you see people running around with nowadays. Some people on r/airsoft have been bashing it for being too expensive for a CM since it has plastic rails, but in my opinion the extra $40 it costs from the run-of-the-mill CMS is more than made up for with the BUIS(they're REALLY nice) and rail covers it comes with.

The motor in this thing is a beast, with a 9.6v some of my crappier hicaps could barely keep up. Haven't opened to verify yet, but allegedly this is the first in a new line of CMs that have a reinforced GB made with better materials. Don't think I'll have to do much to this thing besides maybe a tightbore down the line.

Overall: 10/10 would be budget operator with again, highly recommend

I can tune up this CM and make it even more of a tank than a tuned up JG...I don't really see the point you're making.

And by the way, this is my second CM. The first one I got 4 years ago and still works perfectly so given that they've only improved since then I will enjoy my CM while it lasts 4+ years, thanks.
