Can somebody here make a comprehensive guide to all the popular/somewhat known Colt AR models? My brain hurts when I try to think of what ARs were used in Vietnam, the 80s, and so on. I don't even know what a CAR-15 looks like anymore.

Wait a second that's a real steel AK5C (look at the sock angle and furniture color plus that Aimpoint variant is restricted to Swedish military and no replicas exist) and I've totally seen that pic somewhere before G&G even made an AK5C.

Airsplat sucks, and A&K sucks, The lr300 is 100% pot metal and the SVD has poor performance.
For a budget stalker gun, you would be better off with a dboys aks74

Everyone in STALKER airsoft groups gets AK74s so I'm trying to be ~different~ by getting a less common (for STALKER) gun. I've got an LR boner so that was my first choice, but thanks for warding me off the bad guns.
Still looking - not ruling the 74 out if it's all I can come up with. I'm willing to spend a few hundred bucks for the right gun, though.

The other G&G guns I've looked at have had favorable reviews, so that one's definitely in the running. Plus it looks more like the one from STALKER.

Also there's three versions. I changed the link to the one with the most accurate stock which is apparently the "LE/MIL" version- definitely preferable to the 'Sport' designated model.
