:( that optic [editline]18th March 2014[/editline] sick gun other than that though
You have no idea how good that optic is. A friend of mine uses it between his real steel and airsoft stuff without any issues with zeroing or image quality. It might not look the part, but its one of the best budget sights available.
who makes a good eotech replica
Just about everyone and their mom at this point. I'd recommend a HurricanE though if you can find one, I loved my old HurricanE EOTech
[T]http://i.imgur.com/PDiRjBL.jpg[/T] bang bang o block cag-inspired blaster
Winner because schoolboy Q. Gun is okay too I guess.
crappy phone pic, but new gun [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/FdLVDBS.jpg[/thumb]
Hnnnng I absolutely love the SIG 516. Been planning to get it as my first M4 platform almost as long as it's been out. How is it?
feels like p much any m4 ive used, chronoed 395 out of the box with the cqb version so idk what your field limits are but you might break 400 with the full length one. its pretty good tho, worth the money, stock is a little wobbly but idc

King Arms seems pretty good. How are the ambi controls? Sorry, just a little excited. I wanted to be the first in IFAP to get the SIG 516 but ya beat me. [editline]17th March 2014[/editline] Where did you buy it from?
i got it from airsoftgi, the selector switch doesn't really click into place but it might just be mine, but the externals other than the wobbly stock are excellent. also when you pull the charging handle back it pops open the dust cover and its held open by a spring so you can adjust your hopup, then snap it back closed. idk if this is a standard feature or what but its the first m4 ive used that has had it

The G&G CM I have has a spring that keeps it closed instead of open, which I prefer because with the other way around that catch that keeps it closed wears out after a while.
The most solid M4 ive ever had was a KA. More solid than the G&P I had, and more solid than my G&G SR25. Can ask Fish and Wulf to confirm. Probably regret getting rid of that more than anything else, and I cycle through guns quickly.
that ka oberland was fucken sweet. slayed many bodies with it that day.
Okay.... got the last bits for my M4 now... I think I might've overdone it though. This thing is a beast, fitted it with a highspeed motor and a hicap mag on steroids. Gearbox had a complete workover, and I'm guessing it shoots around 125 m/s. ( Fullauto is < 129,9 m/s here, above that is semi only. ) I'll post better pics of it if you guys like it.
Looks nice. Only thing I'd change is the drum mag, but that's just me.
Looks nice. Only thing I'd change is the drum mag, but that's just me.
+10000 Ditch the noob mag and it'd be a decent setup. But with the giant ballsack hanging off the bottom of your gun, the bipod, and the foregrip all rolled together, this gun just screams "I'm a noob who has no idea what I'm doing and thinks an M4 with a big-ass mag automatically equals support weapon."
TBH the bipod + fore grip thing doesn't bother me too much, I'm starting to see it more often on real soldiers' weapons and I plan to do it with my MK17, but yeah the ballsack mag.

Ditch the bipod if you're going to keep the drum mag
TBH the bipod + fore grip thing doesn't bother me too much, I'm starting to see it more often on real soldiers' weapons and I plan to do it with my MK17, but yeah the ballsack mag.
I wouldnt mind doing it for my UCP OEF kit. Functionality aside, I think it looks better than a grippod
I think a bipod on a carbine-length weapon is just retarded overall since most people don't need the added stability a bipod offers on a weapon as short as a carbine, but to each their own I guess. It's not going to make that big a difference with a 4x optic, especially not in BBWARZ
a HUGE majority of the m4's in photos I see while doing research have grippods on them, which server the same purpose as having both a bipod and a foreprip [editline]19th March 2014[/editline] I mean...
Not sure if airsoft is emulating real life or real life is emulating airsoft....
Eh, I think bipods have their place on carbines. I mean clearly the range of the M4A1 warrants the use of a 4x scope (by the US Army, at least), and with magnification even that minimal it can be difficult to keep the weapon steady enough to accurately pull off shots at its outer effective ranges. [editline]19th March 2014[/editline]
grippods
Very functional but absolutely hideous.

This seems so backwards
here's a personal suggestion get a high-cap magazine it's a real-steel c-mag capacity +100 rounds and it looks 2000x less nooby
This seems so backwards
it does look goofy. if it works it works but it does seem like it would mess up the weight distribution SO much.
I like it alot with the c-mag. Looks sort of like a proto-m27 carbine thingy.
you guys are funny how dare someone like something that you dont its almost like people have preferences
I'd like to see a modernized Thompson but not in stupid black and also doesn't have more than 2 rails Oh and with a modern drum mag, because you can't leave out the pre-50's gangster look and feel
it's my preference that people don't run around in black crossdraws, hoodies and a JG M4 with a nutsack mag ok
[QUOTE=Pvt. I read an article a few years ago, which I am currently trying to dig up, which reported on the U.S. Army's trial of the 100 round beta drum and how basically almost every mag failed and jammed up and actually had to be disassembled to fix.
