I recently got an LCT AKS-74U buttstock. It has the correct details, and will replace the Dboys stock on my AKS-74U. It has been factory parkerized and looks fantastic. A little rough here and there, but such is life in the combloc anyways. I am currently giving it a nice oven-cured black finish. Pictures will eventually be uploaded.

Edit: I just put the stock in the oven! The finish gives off a sweet smell when baked, which is indeed very neat :)

Speaking of finish, any idea on how to make a shiny finish like Russian AKs?

When I can, I'd like to do it to my LCT (VFC AKs have this finish/paint job thing by default)

Real russian rifles come with all kinds of finishes. I've seen a picture of an old Izhmash AKMS with a textured finish that looked much like the one on Dboys AKs.
The baked finish I apply to my AKs is very hard and shiny, but it still wears off after some use (which gives my guns realistic wear and tear in a few months rather than a few years :3 ) This picture shows my finish pretty good: [url]http://www.flickr.com/photos/kamigawa/8564890178/[/url]

it gives me PTSD flashbacks of airsoft games when I urgently need to clean my goggles but I have to use my dirty fingers instead because my cloth is in a hard-to-reach pouch and I end up with light brown dirt smear marks at the end of the day
