Thanks. I just realized this was in gats not kits. im dumb
Speaking of M4's, I was watching "I Am Legend" yesterday and got this strange need to buy an M4A1 with all the parts Robert Neville uses.
So I bought a Classic Army M15A4 RIS. It's covered in markings though so I sprayed over them. Waiting for it to dry right now, but pics later. (I might've fucked up the paint though, it's lumping up a bit, might have to redo)
It didn't come with a battery, which was a bit strange. Had to replace the stock since it was a bit too light and didn't resemble the one in the movie very much. Bought a red-dot ACOG, going to get a sling later. The big problem is finding a flashlight. None of my local stores sell a rail-attached one.

Classic Armys don't come with a battery.
Most flashlights don't come with a way to mount a rail. You have to buy a 25mm scope ring or an actual flashlight mount, and then put a flashlight in to it.

Duly noted :v:
No biggie though, I've got an extra battery.

Hadn't thought of that actually. Thanks!
non-china guns generally don't come with a battery unless you buy a special package
prepackaged batteries are shit anyway
I wonder how many "Are you a sniper!?" people I'm gonna encounter this weekend.

your AK is hot
Hobo-esc
dat mesh hand guard
the duct tape looks a bit out of place though imo
The duct tape is necessary though because otherwise all the wood falls off.
NICE KALASH ARTYOM
no seriously that looks spiffy, I think it would look even cooler with a rpk lower handguard but that is up to you i guess
Arent RPK handguards just AK47 handguards though?
I'm pretty sure they are beefed up akm handguards

Looks like something a Chechen would use.
I promised you pics.
I didn't say at what quality.
Prepare your puke-buckets

Left, my new M4A1 with ACOG. All markings are sprayed over.
Gonna try to find a flashlight, some scope rings to attach and a sling.
Right is the M4A1 next to my G36C (with no top rail and a cheap red dot sight)
Yay
Wait, you sprayed over the trademarkings? Usually people buy guns for the trades. You could've probably found the exact M4 without any for much cheaper if that's what you were going for in the first place. Were they engraved?
CA trademarks, at least on most of the 'M15' series are laser engraved, so it's just the white lettering etched into the surface.
No one who likes trademarks gives a shit about CA's "Armalite" trademarks, since they're not Colt or anyone else 'cool'.

Nah, they weren't engraved, just kinda painted on. I actually prefer when everything is a clean color and not white-on-black clutter. I don't think I could pay less without also risking getting shittier gearbox/build in general. Still worth imo.
Yeah, in that case it's likely laser engraved (or 'etched') if you will. Like this guy.

I kinda doubt it was laser engraved at all, but I might be wrong. It felt like it was literally just paint and nothing else v:v:v
[editline]17th April 2014[/editline]
Also that's the exact model I got. Minus the orange flash-hider. Ew.
If it's a CA and not a sportsline, it's most probably laser engraved.
Huh. Well, certainly didn't feel like it. :v:
Doesn't matter anyway, it's hidden behind a coat of black matte spray paint now.
If you're 100% convinced, and you've suddenly realised your receiver is made of plastic, then you have a sportline M15 and it wouldn't be engraved.
