Ok black rubber tape get. Shotgun is finish. Tactical insertion of swede. [t]http://i.imgur.com/rnJVaQq.jpg[/t] Remember, swede cannot perform cawwadoody pistol stances with [del]knives[/del] javelins. [t]http://i.imgur.com/LYt0NMO.jpg[/t]
Swapped out a few parts on my Marui/G&P EBR. Got rid of the scope+mount, bipod, and giant can and replaced with TLR-1 and Aimpoint. Also drew the stock in a little more to make it easier to handle in tight spaces/CQB.
have you ever owned a shitty gun or did you come out of the womb holding a G&P because you keep surprising me with all these totally bitchin guns where do they come from?
My first airsoft guns were a CYMA AK47 back when the only thing CYMA made was LPEGs, and a spring-powered HFC Glock 17 Gen1 (the latter of which I still have, though it no longer works) I've also owned JGs, ECHO1s, current-production CYMA AEGs, DBoys, ICSes, up through CAs, G&Gs, G&Ps, Maruis, VFCs, a Sun Project M40 (back several years ago, not this most recent re-release) that had both the springer and gas-powered bolts, a CA AUG military with Sun Project M203/mount, and a couple of Guarder/Inokatsu's. One might say I've been very well-rounded :v:
jesus christ [editline]14th May 2014[/editline] do you just shit money or something?
Most adults with a steady income can amass a massive collection if they prioritize airsoft over a lot of other adult hobbies. I mean, think about having a 30k vehicle vs a 60k vehicle- if you really wanted that's 30k to spend on airsoft, which is probably ten times the size of the most prized airsoft collections.
If you actually have a steady income that's not minimum wage stuff and no other hobbies you could buy a G&P every month and get by fine
If you actually have a steady income that's not minimum wage stuff and no other hobbies you could buy a G&P every month and get by fine
I got into airsoft my senior year of high school, which coincidentally was the year my disposable income basically disappeared (started driving, Dad was diagnosed with cancer, graduating, college the next year, first cellphone, etc) The years before I would have had no problem buying a G&P every month, but that's fate I guess.
Due to my current situation I have like $400 in bills a month maximum, and make like $150 a week working 3 shifts while going to school full time. If I work like a regular person does I can pay all my bills off in less than a week, meaning that if I cared about money more than free time I'd have like $1500 disposable income a month during the summer. Unfortunately laziness, friends, and other hobbies keep me from buying an SR-3 every month.
I still live at home and my dad covers most of my expenses, so I realistically 100% of my income is disposable [editline]14th May 2014[/editline] Problem being between work and school I have no time for airsoft, and very little time for any social events
I don't have a job, so any money I get goes to paying my bills and taxes v:v:v The large sums of airsoft are scary to me. I'm sure it'll look less looming when I actually do get a job, though.
Some neato pics of my "I Am Legend" imitation. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uN3pQNk.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/XvIt79u.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/hcissZn.jpg[/t] ALSO, I got a better ACOG. This one isn't a replica red-dot, it's an actual proper one with fiber and zoom. So here's a shakey picture of me holding it outside a window: [t]http://i.imgur.com/2F5WiWh.jpg[/t] Got pretty much everything right except the front sight and the flashlight. I HAVE a front-sight that isn't foldable, but the sprints are either completely immovable or I'm doing something wrong. Gonna take it in to a store tomorrow to have them look at it. Anyway, it cost a bit more than I expected, but totally worth it. :v:
will smith would be proud
It looks so clean, I like it. Not a huge fan of the rail covers though. What kind/where'd you get the ACOG from? Really want one like that for my M4.
It looks so clean, I like it. Not a huge fan of the rail covers though. What kind/where'd you get the ACOG from? The ACOG is this one: http://www.strikerairsoft.se/sikten/optiska-sikten/acog-red-fibre-4x.html No idea what brand though, since it's not mentioned anywhere as far as I can tell.
Holy shit that was fast haha. Feels like you were only asking about it yesterday.
Holy shit that was fast haha. Feels like you were only asking about it yesterday.
I was :v: Like I said in Sabage-thread, I realized pretty soon after asking for help on here that I can't import anything right now since I don't have a valid ID, and you need one to get things out of the postal office over here. And a valid ID costs about 160 dollars, meaning I could either get that and import cheaply, or just simply buy the stuff in stores over here instead - the price would be about the same no matter what I did. So since there wasn't a rush to get a new ID, I just raided all 3 airsoft stores in my area for parts, and managed to find pretty much everything I needed. A lot of it (like the ACOG and the rail covers) weren't actually listed on the websites when I first looked, so when I actually saw the stuff in stores I was just really happy. :v:

wtf what color is that even
wtf what color is that even
its black i had one of those [editline]17th May 2014[/editline] http://www.ebairsoft.com/aabb-fiber-style-scope-with-fiber-p-5722.html this is actually really neat
wtf what color is that even
Someone fucked up their white-balance setting
Excuse me for asking, but what does the fiber thingy do on an ACOG sight? I previously though it was just for decoration. :v:
It absorbs UV rays and illuminates the reticle [editline]17th May 2014[/editline] on real ones anyways
Excuse me for asking, but what does the fiber thingy do on an ACOG sight? I previously though it was just for decoration. :v:
It collects the surrounding light and makes the crosshair light up. I guess you could kinda say it's like a light-powered red-dot. The crosshair still works without light of course, but the red bit at the center doesn't light up, or at least not as well in dimmer lighting. [editline]17th May 2014[/editline] GOSH DARN I WAS TRYING TO BE HELPFUL [editline]17th May 2014[/editline] Anyway on most cheap ones it's for decoration, but on the one I have it's actually functional which is nice.
It absorbs UV rays and illuminates the reticle [editline]17th May 2014[/editline] on real ones anyways
Actually it just collects visible light. Fiber optics are a kind of transmission medium made of plastic or glass, using refraction to carry light. Light hits the fiber on the top of the scope and refracts into it, and then because of the different index of refraction between the fiber and the air, the light bounces along the inside of the fiber, even going around curves, and is then projected at the end just like any red dot scope. The more ambient light there is, the brighter it paints the dot, so it isn't blinding indoors or invisible out in sunlight. It's a very reliable and simple system, I'm surprised it isn't more common.
Didn't some actual ACOGs have tritium illumination too?
A lot of them do.
Got pretty much everything right except the front sight and the flashlight.
Make sure not to get one with a pressure pad. Gotta just cover the front with your hand when breaching CQB rooms filled with naked heavily breathing infected opfor. That whole scene was intense.
I fixed my gun's front sight and put on the stock I didn't beat to shit with a screwdriver in a failed attempt at "weathering" and I have to say it actually looks pretty good now. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Uw5Csdj.jpg[/t] If fixing it to a point where it would be useable in a game didn't involve essentially buying a new gun I'd probably repaint the whole thing in kind of a semi-arid grassland camo.
whats wrong with it?
