Its actually screen door material thats designed to be resistant to dogs running into it at full speed, so its actually stronger than metal screen. We've tested it with pretty much everything and nothing even damages it, even like 3 seconds of full auto fire with an 11.1 at point blank wont scratch the stuff

The problem with the hand guards is that they just kill the lines and the profile of the gun. They're basically the standard AK hand guard shape with rails slapped on as an afterthought, and just scream "cheap TAPCO furniture." And then the color itself just reminds me of beige carpeting. From my point of view, you're not really getting any function out of keeping that furniture so you might as well go with form.

it's not like it's even my primary anyways
it goes M16 > XM177 > F2000 > AK
So if i can get cheap furniture than yes i will replace it but i'm not going to go out of my way for a gun i'm not really going to use.

I have that hand guard but I cut up the rails with a dremel to make it more streamlined

Let's break this down, shall we?
-The CA SCAR-L was my first actual AEG, bought it from Ender back in 2011 for $180
-I got the Dboys SCAR-H for free
-Bought the Type 89 from Codemonkey for $120
-Bought both the M4 and M14 with some misc. gear for $100
-Bought the WE G18 for $110
-The SCAR-L actually broke about six months after I got it, which was why I got the T91. I traded the SCAR-L for my Dboys KAR98k (which I still have, but I don't skirmish so consider it more as a prop than an airsoft gun)
-Sold the SCAR-H for $60 after the wiring killed itself.
-Sold the Type 89 for $60 after the selector switch just completely broke and the wiring also killed itself, on top of that the rear sight broke off completely.
-Sold the M14 for $80
-Took the gearbox from the M4 and stuck it in my 733 (which I also still have bought it's not reliable enough for me to skirmish)
-WE Glock 18's hammer broke, so I'm trying to get rid of it.
-T91's gears and piston need to be replaced, also needs a new magazine release
So yeah, that makes it so that my only working guns are....
-DE M1014, won from a Facebook Airsplat contest
-CYMA AK-105, bought with Ender at a 2011 Black Friday sale
-CA M16A1, given to me by a reenactor friend
-TM G3, bought for $125 from some kid locally
-TM Hicapa 4.3, bought for $75 from a fellow FPer/friend
I saw somebody selling a ton of Type 89 highcaps on one of the fb airsoft sales groups i'm in, and the first thing i thought was 'i wonder how many TaiwanesePrick has and if he'd want any more'. I didn't realize just how broken yours was.
Most of my guns still work, but they don't work great. I know my full-length M14, my M16, and my G3 work rather well but the 727, my G36, and my SOC16 have had issues in the past and i've not really got the kind of space to test them reliably here.
I can only take them to a game and find out they're still broken so many times before getting sick of it :v:

The Mp5k I bought, sold, then rebought. Also the G&G raider has been through countless iterations. The JG G36c broke the first time I used it but I still have most of the parts for it.
Fun fact, the G&G in the first picture is the M727 in the second, just with some different externals. Most of the gearbox is the same though.

Did some work on the MP7 tonight. Notched the stock for an intermediate lock position and did the same for a more aggressive angle on the foregrip.

Thinking about maybe trading my SVD for an upgraded BAR-10 or a VSR-10. I love the shit out of the SVD, don't get me wrong, but it feels a little out of place with my super-capitalist MK18, MP7, M1014, and G19.
