Can confirm, I likewise have owned both DBags/CYMA and LCT/VFC/RealSword, the difference is literally night and day. Anyone who buys a DBags "because it's cheap and [they] can't afford anything better" needs to man up and save their money for a real man's airsoft gun instead of wasting it on Chinashit. Airsoft is like anything else, you get what you pay for, and trust me, once you own something as nice as LCT/VFC/RS, you'll never view clones the same way again.

I wish G3s were more readily available. In the UK all I can find is the TM SG1 or those horrible G3 SAS things. More manufacturers and more parts would make me the happiest person alive.

It's really not difficult to get G3 bits in the UK. Just lurk around second hand forums, i've seen stocks and handguards for sale plenty of times. A TM SG1 or any of the multiple CA G3s aren't bad starting points.
All i want to do with my G3 is spray it to cover up the gay-ass CA markings, weather it a bit, and fit a wood kit to it and i'm done. Sliding stocks and RIS rails are 4 nerds.

One reason for this can often be that consumer cameras have lenses pitched with a slight wide angle, which creates a very subtle fish eye effect. This, combined with the perspective from taking a three dimensional object and portraying it in two dimensions, will make things like long rifles appear to be warped in some way. I've noticed it often myself.
