well the good thing is that indonesian airsofters is made up with many good people and good connection. so yeah, we're doing pretty fine right now since the last time Police hunt us down since several police shooting and airsofts are put into blame by stupid govt and media last year. We even got 2 Brimob(Mobile brigade,Indonesian Equivalent of Swat team) operators in our team. but still, we have to endure the strict rule that shoved too deep in our asses.
GENTLEMEN, BEHOLD! .... Cooooorn. And by corn I mean my new HurricanE SR-47. First pic with steel PBS-1 and real-steel converted 20-round AMD-65 mag, all pics thumbed because big. [t]http://i.imgur.com/o5usT4H.png[/t] With the "Vortex" flash hider it came with [t]http://i.imgur.com/D42fZ4F.png[/t] With an SVD flash hider because why the hell not [t]http://i.imgur.com/5NIxQks.png[/t] Close-ups [t]http://i.imgur.com/jTtcgzG.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/o0iHk8X.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/5LJ0SYR.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/QZKPlEp.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/CcSEIbu.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/wt0C9t9.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ggNaCYU.jpg[/t] >M-4 CARBING Also, just going to go on the record here and say, this thing's got THE WORST paddle/AK mag release design I have ever seen in my entire fucking life. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be kicked in the nuts. Oh and speaking of beholding corn, this is beautiful.
How does it work?
How does what work? The mag catch I was complaining about? If yes, it would be a good design if it wasn't for the fact that literally the only thing holding it in is tension on the spring. The pin itself isn't attached to anything, the part of the receiver that holds it in place is basically like an open shelf, so really all you have to do to dislodge the entire assembly is push it upward into the magwell.
I hate to say it, but I've always felt that the SR-47 was a dumb idea. Granted, they tried to address a serious problem (U.S. troops running out of 5.56 but having plenty of x39 in magazines) But here's the big problem I see: This is essentially a AR-15 platform that accepts only AK-47 magazines and chambers 7.62x39, which is not the standard caliber and magazine of U.S. forces. So from what I'm gathering is that the intent would be for a infantryman to carry two rifles/carbines? So in case of them running out of 5.56 ammunition, they switch to their Soviet 7.62 chambered secondary? Or would a FOB or fire base keep these in stock in case of a siege where they could not be resupplied, and break them out to use with captured stockpiles? To be honest the more feasible answer would be to just pick up and start using AKs if you get into that tight of a spot.

In somewhere like Afghanistan, or Iraq, the ammo you take could have been sat in the sand gathering dirt for years, or it could be generally flawed because it came out of the Khyber Pass or some equally low-tech facility. Put one of those dirty sand-caked rounds in something with direct impingement and I don't quite think they'll get along. Generally, you do not want to end up relying on the enemy to provide for you.

It was intended to be used in lieu of an M4/M16, nobody in their right mind would be carrying 2 almost-identical weapons. Also, this was never intended for infantry, it was purely a SpecOps thing meant to be used by guys operating behind enemy lines where the report of a 5.56 and empty 5.56 shell casings would give away the fact that somebody who didn't belong there was sneaking around, also because of the whole lack of consistent supplies being isolated on covert ops like they are. The SR47 was a brilliant idea actually, just wasn't well executed IMO - the problem with the SR47 is the same problem you have with any other AR variant: Shit gets fouled up really easily. With an AK it's not that big a deal because of loose tolerances, getting a little dirty isn't going to stop an AK from working; not so with most AR variants and their tight tolerances. Couple tight tolerances with low-quality, dirty, possibly unsafe/damaged ammunition, and you're just begging for problems. So like I said - great idea, just bad execution. The SR47 would enjoy more popularity among civilian shooters who can afford to keep their weapon clean at all times and use good quality, factory-inspected, clean ammunition that isn't liable to blow up in their face. Unfortunately for the SOF community, their best bet is still to just use captured AK47s if they need a 7.62x39.
That looks SR47 looks glorious - be sure to shower it with early 2000s KAC accessories Which reminds me, it always bothered me when I run out of ammunition for a pub airsoft game, another airsofter always offers me to use his magazines. STANAG magazines. Despite the fact I'm one of the few guys, sometimes the only dude, running around with Russian kit and an AK Seriously wat
Went out and bought a new toy today :) [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/r8vINc.png[/t] Taking it out to wreck some fellow Dutchmens this sunday! (damnit UpsideOnion ur optimistic ratings always make me doubt my self esteem lol)
You should throw a car 15 stock on there c:
You should throw a car 15 stock on there c:
On my SR47, or on Arthuro's Sig? :v:
Went out and bought a new toy today :)
A P226 Elite with standard grips? Nice. Personally I preferred the P226 Beavertail (no front slide serrations, normal grips as standard) but any P226 is a good P226.
Was aiming to get a CZ75 at first but yeah.. this seemed so big and blocky compared to it. Just had to buy it, CZ will come later.
(damnit UpsideOnion ur optimistic ratings always make me doubt my self esteem lol)
i always do that on new gats if i like them [editline]31st July 2014[/editline] not sure why
I'll admit UO, I stopped paying attention to your ratings. Half the time they don't make sense, the other half they're just random "Dumbs" for no apparent reason lol
On my SR47, or on Arthuro's Sig? :v:
You, you dingus
You, you dingus
I might do that if and when I shorten the outer barrel. For its current length, I kinda like the solid stock.
I like the look of full length rifles with car 15 stocks
Much better than carbine length rifles with solid stocks I tell you what
Midlength AR15s look good with either. Just a shame midlength airsoft stuff isn't more common, really.
