A comrade got everyone these sweet flasks. Looked nice on the AK.

Painted my M4
[t]http://i.imgur.com/gi0H7uH.jpg[/t]
and I finished my shotgun
That looks pretty good. It's really hard to do a simple two color stripe pattern (like on your M4) and have it look good IMO. Just needs a little weathering now.

The weathering will come in time. I didn't put a clear coat on it so it should become more worn relatively quickly, though I hope not too quickly.
Just finished messing with my KWA km4.

That front sight looks backwards, though.
Haha yeah it was!
A while ago I bought a Dboys kar98k with a wooden stock and today I did some modifying.
I didn't really liked the finish on the wood, It was quite orange and some places on the stock were quite rough.
with a lot of sanding there is no more orange gunk left on it and it's nice and smooth.
Was actually planning on staining it a nice dark brown but after seeing the actual wood colour I opted not to.
Quite like the light wood on it.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/pAM8ko5.jpg[/img_thumb]
I also have a leather sling for it but that's not in the picture.
Throw some linseed oil on that to bring out the natural color better and protect it.
I did use some teak oil my parents have on the inside of the top cover, at first it did make it a bit darker but that was a couple of days ago.
Now it actually looks quite alright so I´ll give it a go next time I´m there.
They use it for wooden furniture and I read that teak oil gives a bit more protection to the wood outdoors, which might be useful if I use it in a skirmish (probably not much it being a shell loading spring rifle)
Got myself this little beauty here:

Metal needs a few scratches here and there around them edges to look more realistic.
Also thank the giant centipede I bought two metal mid-cap mags. Stock high-cap is made of shitty plastic, I'm afraid it'll fall apart in my hands. Once vest arrives, I'll snap a pic of my loadout.
Thats the little laser thingy on the back of it rite?
Godamn though. The way that light shines off the slide.

Nope, that's just a guarder thumbrest, which looks awesome btw. The grip laser units are alright, but I think they're a bit awkward to hold onto and use.
Thinking about bringing my camera to work tomorrow to take ultra dramatic pictures of my BB blasters.
I've purchased/built like, four or five guns I don't think I've mentioned on here.
-Sold my A&K M249 Para to fund my VFC 417 DMR build.
-I've got a Maruzen Mac 11 clone and two magazines, and it is quite a hoot.
-Traded Mousecop my KWA USP Compact for a KWA M9 PTP.
-Bought my beloved Cyma AK-74 back from Mousecop for the price I sold it to him. (so he could go to ironclad)
-Traded my Combat Machine for an Echo 1 Red Star AK, which I then traded for an M203 and a ton of goodies, which I then traded for a KJW CZ-75. (I know, sounds like I got the shit end of all the deals, I just like new things)
-Put a Prowin and G&G bucking in my G&P M16A1, and I currently have a work order on it for our tech that reads something like "Make this the best gun ever, but it has to shoot under 350 FPS."
-And lastly, I'll be picking up an ICS M1 Garand soon.
If I were you, I'd like the gun reflect its own age, rather than artificially weather it which if you mess up looks cheesy and even less realistic than before. That and speaking from the experience that cyma zinc alloy looks really toy esque when its exposed.
You're never going to really reach the levels of wear that an actual issued rifle would sustain before the gun breaks. Also, there's a lot of variance amongst the CYMA AKs so you can't really say that they all wear poorly. The older models with the cheaper zinc alloy do take on that greyish look, but some of the better ones (like their 101 that BEAR has) look a lot better.
Last time I posted my AK here people seemed to like it. There are a number of things I'd do differently if I were to weather another AK, but I think the basic technique is sound.

This is my HK417 DMR project, the internals have been tuned and shimmed, the bucking was swapped for a G&G Green, and I'm currently deciding on which barrel to use.

Cyma AK74, I'm pretty sure I stripped a gear in it and haven't had it opened yet, fantastic gun when it's in working order.

These are my sidearms, Tactical Force Mac 11(maruzen clone), KJW CZ75, and KWA M9 PTP.

G&P M16A1, with M90 spring, Prowin Hop up, and G&G green bucking.
Yields a stupid rate of fire as it is, and I'm still experimenting with it.

The tech and I's WIP G36 collection; we're starting a German squad and we're trying to fill a locker with appropriate H&K guns.
From top to bottom:
JG G36k, SRC G36k, Ares G36kv, Ares G36c.
Before the Ares hate train starts, the G36kv is mine and the tech has rebuilt the gearbox to the point that it is practically a G&G G36kv.
We also stripped the majority of the paint from the JG G36k, and it looks a hell of a lot better.
grey is good
Gray bits make it a drool magnet.
Trying to replicate the Hitman Silverballer to the best of my ability. Base gun is a Tokyo Marui MKIV Series 70 Nickel Finish version.

Can't look at it for too long otherwise it'll burn your eyes, thing is so damn shiny.
Also, I bought a complete Western Arms AMT Hardballer slide assembly, so we'll see how that goes.

I thought Hardballers were a matte/nickel finish? not to tear you down, because it's still a cool piece.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are. I never really anticipated doing anything with this gun in the first place when I bought it, but I thought it would look cool with the Pachmayr grips and suppressor. If I really wanted to make this thing look 100% accurate, I would've tried to track down a Western Arms AMT Hardballer (not longslide version) because it has the correct sights, which are pretty much impossible to find.

Also, I wanted to put a pistol scope on my TM Deagle, but found out that real steel Magnum Research scope rings do not fit the TM Deagle the hard way. I did manage to make it work with some modification and zip-ties.

Woo, Desert Eagle club!
mine is FUBAR :(
Next time I get a Desert Eagle, I gotta make sure it's a TM.
Was yours a KWC? Do tell what happened to it.
So I finally got around to take a picture of my AIMS with the new handguards:

It is now an RK72 TP.
RK72's are East German Mpi KMS-72's bought by Finland for use by the Reserve Forces. My ex's brother handled one during his army time & he said that the bakelite handguards were often swapped for wooden ones because they cracked in the colder weather.

There was a 50% chance it would shoot the bb, automatic fire never worked, the selector switch is stuck and the switch on the right side of the gun has just screwn itself loose, the spring in the hammer is broken I think, in general it has just been a piece of shit. I don't know what happened to it.
