The A&K wood kit I bought for my SVD was similarly awful.
Friend gave me his AKM that needs some internal replacements. Excited to what can be done with it.

looks like an AK-74
:v:
That's because it is.
Spotted this in an evike boneyard for $150 and thought I would get something to go with my Thompsons. Externally it was perfect, but the internals had become swiss cheese and I had a spare TM V.6 gearbox laying around so I stuck that in there. Surprisingly, the stock hop-up in this thing is pretty good, it works perfectly with the TM gearbox. This gun has to be the biggest pain in the ass I've ever worked on though, just disassembling it to get to the gearbox took a few hours.

I am terrible with AK models, it said AKM on the back of the battery (friend taped it there, and said it was an AKM but doesnt matter what model it is, i like either.) and it looks exactly like the AKM model which my friend told me it is (http://www.rodastjarnan.com/airsoft/cyma-048m-akm-15366)
Still happy with it, just figure out how to fix the gun.
EDIT: Found the exact model http://www.rodastjarnan.com/airsoft/cyma-048-ak74-14773 Some minor visual stuff I didn't notice, not to good with AK models.
Frankly, I just give Starship credit for knowing that AKM is a thing and not just calling it an AK47.

I can identify guns fairly easily, just not all the different models. (Like G36, G36c(?), g36k, ak74, a74m, akm etc)
Is there a thread on this subforum for help with repairs?

Just bought a VFC AKS-74UN with some extras, hey
As much as this thing shitted out on me yesterday, it's still a cool BB gat.

This popped up today, unfortunately didn't come with a scope but I didn't pay much for it so I'm still happy.

Anyone know if there exists any airsoft manufacturers that sells mosin nagant scopes? I'd rather not pay 250€ for a real one

G-SPEC only spec

I wish that it was a G-Spec!
I think with my new tap and die threading experience I'm going to be able to fix some basic issues I had before, though no need for a TDC Hopup mod with the new Action Army chamber I have coming!

You're probably going to have to considering that there are probably no third party companies making PU scopes, and if there was they would probably cost more than a RS PU. Both reasons are because there is virtually no viable market for them.

Pro tip, if you have gen 2 or lower magazines. Take out every screw and wrap it in teflon tape.
Wrape the entire back plate with teflon tape as well, this will essentially stop it from ever leaking.
If you have gen 3 then sit back and relax, with your trouble free magazines.

My two TM MP5SDs, planning to build two impressions around them. The SD5 should be pretty easy to guess, and the SD6 is a no brainer.
