On the subject of Alliegats, does anyone know anything about the Marushin M1 carbine?
On the subject of Alliegats, does anyone know anything about the Marushin M1 carbine?
Friend i know has one, It's alright. He's taken really good care of it and it fires and is pretty accurate. I'll try to get my hands on it and let you know if you dont find out soon.
Even though my eotech is blatantly a replica, I'm surprised at how crisp the reticle is at a distance. It doesn't even suffer from ghosting as far as I've seen. The only issues I have with it come from the lens protector I have on it, which makes everything look really blurry and distorted when you look directly through it. And i'll repost this because why not: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9988278/airsoft2013/guns/gturtysicksnyouspe.jpg[/t]
OH THAT USP I'M SO JEALOUS.
On the subject of Alliegats, does anyone know anything about the Marushin M1 carbine?
There are a thousand fucking variants produced over at least a decade, so there are a lot of different stories about them. The new versions can take green gas and CO2 out of the box, and the plastic one on Redwolf goes for less than $200 when its in stock, while some of the fancier variants are closer to $500 and could be really good or really shitty. Also, magazines are very expensive, and not that common iirc. They're definitely my number one choice if I ever get a GBBR, even though I wouldn't want to spend the money on an appropriate loadout.
I've never had a good experience with CO2 guns, they're always stupidly hot for FPS rules and they tend to destroy themselves (my old KWC CO2 Desert Eagle literally ripped itself apart because it was poorly-made and couldn't handle CO2 properly) so I've always been pretty wary of CO2 guns. The main advantage is you can get those little 12gr CO2 cartridges anywhere. For me, real wood and full metal would be a must so that rules out the plastic one. I don't mind plastic on tactical guns, but if I'm gonna have wood furniture, I'm gonna have real wood furniture, not plastic imitation. Of course with as much money as I would end up spending on a Marushin M1 Carbine, I could just get a GHK AKM and not have to worry about anything. They're apparently pretty solid out of the box, plus the externals are LCT so I already know they're gonna be nice.

It would be fun for plinking, but the plastic furniture stops it from being a wallhanger, which depletes like half the value of any plinker. CO2 bullshit has also stopped me from buying a Jericho 941, because NBB plus 400+ fps of power is fucking stupid for a pistol.
guess what arrived today! Sadly ASGI didn't do the best of taking care of it, one peice wasn't attached to the rifle, looks like it was banged around to all hell and there was white powder and residue all over it, Some of it won't even come off. I'm going to polish it some more when i get time, if it was scratches it's w/e but this white shit is annoying. Evike only shipped 7 out of the 8 mags i ordered, they are sending one out next week for me already. oi felix can you post some pictures of your old fnc?
Why hello there hotstuff, got yourself some new clothes? Paint? Dye? OD? Plum? YELLOW!??!!?
Nice magazine floorplate, it's very well camouflaged.
Gren mags n clips [editline]17th November 2014[/editline] Also, I kinda do want to do something with the polymer furniture because pristine looking black on a weathered receiver looks kinda eehhh. Suggestions anyone?
spray it OD for maximum STALKER
I'm not sure I'm a fan of OD mags Or OD furniture on AKs in general tbh
Neither am I, really. But:
I'm not sure I'm a fan of OD mags Or OD furniture on AKs in general tbh
That mag doesn't even look OD IMO, but it might just be bad lighting.
As much as I like STALKER, I always felt that the AK always looked tacky as fuck painted like that. Especially with the matching magazine. Personally, I feel like if you're going with plastic furniture on an AK-74 or AK-74M, plain black or plum is the way to go. It looks really classy if done right.
I've never had any reason to believe the AKs in STALKER actually are painted. I don't recall ever seeing any missing/worn paint on them, I think the plastic itself is just green. I do agree that plum is sexy as fuck tho
Call me weird but I really love OD furniture on modern AKs (no Tapco abominations please). I painted up my AK that way and never looked back, although were I to get another AK it would be with wood furniture. Actually, I really like OD furniture on modern guns in general. Timebomb's Kel-Tec Sub2k is pretty awesome with that OD.
OD furniture on G3's though. [editline]17th November 2014[/editline]

Classic as fuck. [editline]18th November 2014[/editline]
Suggestions anyone?
I'd dust the furniture in tan and then wear it really good and beat the hell out of it. Maybe a light dusting on the other parts too to make it even.
I used a heat gun to give some nicer realistic weathering to my E&L. That with the scratches from a bunch of games I think it looks great. Every scratch is a story.
Dusted the new furniture with green. It makes it appear darker than the green on my AR and I can add a second colour ontop in the future to mix it up.
Am I the only one that thinks AKs look odd without cleaning rods? Just so used to seeing them sitting under the barrel I guess.
I didn't even realize it was missing. I'll have to look for it.
Am I the only one that thinks AKs look odd without cleaning rods? Just so used to seeing them sitting under the barrel I guess.
Same here. Unfortunately, my beryl handguard kinda prevents the rod from being inserted because some springy metal bit comes in the way. I might be able to force it in or maybe dremel that bit off, though. Haven't tried all that much, also I don't even know where it is right now.
My dad got me my birthday present today, which I was not expecting at all [t]http://i.imgur.com/b9W6AVB.jpg[/t] [editline]19th November 2014[/editline] its a cm18 mod1
Whoa, didn't even know G&G made Combat Machine Mk18's, that's pretty neat
Whoa, didn't even know G&G made Combat Machine Mk18's, that's pretty neat
They do, the rail is inaccurate as all hell but they call it a mk18 mod 1. It has the correct barrel length though.
