Got a bipod and black furniture for my P* RS SVD. Took a lot of weight off!
The hadnguards and stock took forever to fit on. A lot cutting to make it fit!
I'm trying to get a hold of a second outer barrel to cut down and replace with an SVD-S front sight to make it into an SVD-S wannabe (until Realsword makes one... sometime... pls RS.)
Hey, just FYI, a cool way to do fake blur, if you have photoshop, is to make a gradient that's black on the top and bottom and white in the middle (strictly vertical gradient), and then use the gradient as a depth layer for the 'Lens blur' filter. That way it'll look somewhat like real camera DOF, and you can just make a duplicate selection of the gun that isn't blurred so your subject stays clear.
or do a black-white-black for pseudo tilt-shift c:
I was just lazy and did tilt-shift :) Seriously though... I really need a DSLR...
In other news: Also just got this in the mail. Previous owner did some crazy weathering to it
Got it very cheap and plan on putting the DG kit in it and selling the gearbox to a friend.
LCT MGMS btw. Basically an AKMS with a 104 barrel. Kinda cool looking.

Is that felix's old FNC, or did you just paint it the same?
It's his old one
didnt he sell it to someone else?
or...something?
Yes.
Yes.
so you hunted down that specific FNC and bought it back?
that's very dedicated
Posted in Airsoft Chat already, but I figured I'd repost it here- current state of the PKM. Got a modern flash hider, worked out a scope mount solution, stuck an AK sling on because why not. Not sure yet if I want to get the gas block rail adapter and a 45-degree foregrip.

Looks nice dude!
If you want the rails here are some cheap Zenit replicas:

I honestly would buy a PKM if someone replicated the hinge side rail
I would totally mount the 1P29 on one

You need to accept Zenitco into your life:

These are the ones that you'll start seeing a lot more of now.
Also someone did replicate the flip sidemount. I contacted them and I think it was like $160 shipped or something:

If any of you want to make a bulk order and save let me know. I'm definitely interested in wanting one!

all this zenitco stuff is neat, but why do they insist on making everything look like a cheese grater

Multi functionality. Can you imagine being in the middle of a battle and craving some cheese ontop of your rations?
BAM! Your railed handguard is also a grater.
Russian innovation motherfucker.

I assume it has something to do with weight reduction.

YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO PUT CHEESE ON POTATO. It's not easy.
My brother found me another slickside upper, so now I can finally put the M231 back together! (because I stole the original upper to make my 602)
To celebrate, here's a shitty photo of all the airsoft ARs I own. I'll take a better one when it isn't 3am.

Most of my guns are actually out of action for one reason or another, so I'm going to have to fix them in the new year. Both my M14s need new wiring in the stocks and my TM M14 needs a cutoff lever still, My G36CV's blowback mechanism is still broken, and my M727 shoots at 400FPS so I need to fit a weaker spring in before I can use it.
I'm going to have to get someone to teach me soldering so I can do wiring myself in future.
Got bored today and did a little work on the SVD. I removed the stock hop nub since it was squishy A&K shit as usual and replaced it with a hard nub I cut from a Bic pen ink tube. Somehow this works on both A&K's M60 and SVD.
Also refinished the externals. Dusted in khaki and smeared around, plus light weathering and a couple of wraps. I sprayed black paint onto all the wood and then rubbed it in with sandpaper. Surprisingly it worked really well to darken up the wood and give it the appearance of weathering. For some reason the khaki dusting didn't really show up in the pictures, but it looks damn good IRL.

Bonus, made the MP7 operator as hell too. I had to ziptie a rail on since my brother knocked it off the rack and broke the stock foregrip.

did you paint the end of silencer or what? I wonder how to get the "burned out" effect like here

I think some people actually take a blowtorch to the end of the gun to get that effect. Just don't over-do it like biscotti boy did and fuse the flash hider to the barrel.
Also don't do it right on the end. Do it starting where the flash hider dumps in to the suppressor. That's the part that gets hot and turns colors. And then carbon builds on the front.

Would I be able to make my gun look like this by painting it black and dusting it with tan? The current colour of my gun is this sickening bright tan colour and if i were to do this by painting it black and then wearing it down, it would just end up revealing the gross colour underneath. How did you do your beautiful, beautiful paint job?
So, I was in the market for a trishot, and was wondering what kind of custom work did you guys do on yours. Aesthetically Speaking.[h=1][/h]

There's not a whole lot you can do with the plastic tri-shots, since the way they're put together kinda precludes substantial alteration to their externals. You can attach rails fairly easily, and I've seen people hack the pistol grips off the full-stocked ones to get just a full stock (IMO it looks pretty goofy), but that's about it.

I really like the medical tape on the grip. I like that dirty used look and it reminds me of Denzel Washington's hk45 in book of eli
I would've thought it would go without saying that the gun has no known drug allergies. It's a gun, after all.
I know it's supposed to be about the person using it, but to me it still seems a little silly to put that on there. The zipties on the suppressor and the shoelace seemingly holding the eotech on also seem kind of redundant, and it might've looked better if you sprayed over the 'THIS IS NOT A TOY' wall of text at the back.
