Kind of looks like an MP5 with the Type 89 stock, but I think it looks best with the MOE. I'd like to see it with a Type 89 sidefolder though.
Type 89 side-folder ain't gonna happen unless I somehow find a boneyard Type 89 Side-Folder for under $100 which is super unlikely.
How much can I get a CAR stock for? I'm leaving the LE on for now.
I fucking love this thing though. Full-Auto, Semi and 3-Burst in a platform that's now smaller than a M4 and a lot lighter than the original Type 89 and not super long.
The stock upgrade was easy. The outer barrel was easy.
The RIS? Fucking insane. I had to dremel so much shit off it to make it fit. I knew I would have too but I was like "How bad can it be?" but it required me stripping a good portion of the metal hop-up unit cage until I could use a mallet to get the RIS all thew way down. The top rail was super easy in comparison to the front end. I'm -pretty- sure it's non-reversible. If I ever want the original Type 89 back I think I could possibly fix it but it'd require some serious modification.
I have a new inner barrel coming in the mail for this thing too.

I understand that feel.
The KAC rail i got for my M16 required hours of dremeling due to JG non-standard grip attachment.
Since we're talking about Russian stuff, I suggest everyone here watch this:

Russian Treasure Island cartoon. I've seen it about 5 times and it never gets old.

I think Ross and I need to come back up to NY to beat some sense back into you by pointing out how silly your gun is for several more hours.
haven't posted here for a while.
had an AR15/M4/M16/murica carry handle lying around my room, tried to give it a weathered effect.

please excuse the quality of my phone's camera.
That would hardly pass as weathered.
Nnnnooooo, when you weather things, you're supposed to make it look smooth, not full of scratches.

I'd say repaint it and hit it a good bit more lightly with a finer grit sandpaper, that'll give a better look. Also, I see what you were going for in weathering the hold area on the carry handle, but you'd have to carry it by the handle for a long ass time to get any kind of weathering there.
-snip wrong thread-
The shell is the pricey part. Chalk projectiles aren't too bad and they make some re-usable ones.
Pricey ones are the impact or airburst one which are like $4-6 more.
The shell is very worth the price though because it can shoot almost anything out of it. BBs, roll of tape, socks, banana and even NATO tears if you can seal them in there tight enough and you use CO2 at around 500psi.
However considering how accurate they are and the range they get its more than worth it. Either you spend the same or more money losing little nerf or milsimlabs rockets by missing a few shots or you take out the vehicle on the first hit.

Can't really hunt down the original name and I have no idea why there are indians on it. Maybe the lyrics are related :S
I dont actaully airsoft but i do like to shoot cans in my yard.
Is that based on the WWI era 1911?
It's got the cutouts on the frame behind the trigger from the 1911A1 which is WW2/later, so no.
The hammer looks like the WWI version, so it confused me \:v:/
Update: Warsport LVOA rail bungee came in and I weaved it in. Took a while but it looks great!

What's the purpose of that? Not sarcasm.
is it for storing zip ties

added grip/comfort + looks
it actually feels surprisingly good, and it looks really neat and sort of completes the look of the rail.
For $7 you cant really go wrong
I guess I can see that. Makes it look like a lunchbox/hoodie drawstring
like you tighten the little toggle and *shwoop* the rail shortens by 6 inches
ALL RANGE MODE
Did a little more work on the WOC.

What scope mount is that? I have a short dot on my real AR and my MBUS doesn't fit under it with the current mount I have

Dunno if I'd rate it highly though. Came to me fairly broken and I had to make some modifications; it's really good now and fits tightly but it was a bit of a hassle. Didn't fit the shortdot either (which is a Visionking) and I had to pad it out with some plastic inserts.

Good lord the real deal goes for over $200. That's more than the scope I plan to put in it

What short dot do you use for your AR? I've been wanting one for mine but I'm trying to find one that's decent.

Do bungee weavers serve solely as an aesthetic purpose? Cuz they look great and I might put one on my XCR-C.
Do bungee weavers serve solely as an aesthetic purpose? Cuz they look great and I might put one on my XCR-C.
again, one could argue that they serve a bit of an ergonomic purpose as I really like the feel of it, so if you like the look go for it
The real world purpose is to melt to your handguard and make a nice crispy, crunchy grip for later. Jokes about elastic materials melting under heat aside, they're probably for routing cables for accessories, lights, lasers, etc. Normally if you needed to tie down a cable you'd use an index clip or a ziptie/tape, so I imagine this is advertised as being much more modular.

Hammers short dot. Probably the cheapest decent short dot at exactly $100. The thing works really well at 4x, the illumination is nice and bright and clear, but as with most knock offs the 1x is shit, and actually more like 1.2x
