I can only dream. I haven't the slightest where I could start looking for something like a c7 lower. With what little research I've done, apparently the rs stuff is asscheeks hard to find, so I'll probably just end up getting a 20" barrel, od handguards/stock/grip, a rear sight, and some barrel mount with rails on it. Woo budget c7
dont forget the thermold mags!
Yeah, engraved C7/C8 receivers seem nearly impossible to find nowadays. My google-fu skills have returned nothing current whatsoever.
Yeah, engraved C7/C8 receivers seem nearly impossible to find nowadays. My google-fu skills have returned nothing current whatsoever.
Usually custom engraved by canucks who really want a C7
Although G&P and a few chinese places did limited runs, I do believe most C7/8 are custom or done custom in limited batches. Either way slim chance unless you know the right people.
Are there companies that make blank lowers which could then be engraved or whatever with c7 markings? I'm getting the feeling that may be illegal though. [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] Also I just got an idea for a Canadian loadout. Really all it'll be is a Toronto maple leafs jersey and cadpat pants with a pc or other lbe on top.
Yes, blank receivers are quite readily available, and no, getting it custom engraved isn't illegal. It is however, likely going to be quite expensive unless you know someone who can do engravings for you. If you have to contact someone it's going to be a lot of work and probably a lot of money.
i know a guy who knows a guy who literally pumps out diemaco receivers by the dozen he's basically the go to go for all of the UKSF milsim airsofters. perr_mike if you're interested, he imports the l119a1 receivers and makes the barrel extensions and they're proper top notch.
i feel like you could probably check out like, a trophy shop, the might be able to engrave it for you
I always felt like asking a random shop to engrave diemaco trades would be awkward "Hello, how can I help" *wops yer lower receiver on the table* "Hi I want engravings on this" "Uh" ":)"
My school has a laser engraver that I have access to.
My school has a laser engraver that I have access to.
You should bring a receiver for a gun into school and engrave it. 10/10 idea
You should bring a receiver for a gun into school and engrave it. 10/10 idea
If I just bring the lower, keep it in my backpack and do it after school it'll be fine. If anyone asks I'll just say its for engineering club. 10/10 master plan all plans.
Remove pistol grip pls
Remove pistol grip pls
Yeah, just the lower receiver. No upper, no pistol grip, trigger or anything else.
Yeah, just the lower receiver. No upper, no pistol grip, trigger or anything else.
Just make sure that the laser engraver can actually work with the material of your lower. A lot of school-level laser engravers just reflect straight off metal, and that's not a good thing.
Got an Epilog Laser at work, never used it myself though. Did take a short safety class on how to use one years ago. It won't work on bare metal, but it should work on anodized metal parts. Here's a quick DIY guide I found for an Epilog Laser. http://www.instructables.com/id/Laser-Etching-Anodized-Aluminum/

I'll take that into account though, thanks.
Remove pistol grip pls
You have to remove it if you want to get the gearbox out.
