Dear sweet baby Jesus! THAT is truly one sexy AK O_0
How did you manage to fit the stock on? I've only ever seen one other person attempt it, and they kind of screwed it up and put a hole in the stock so they had to cover it up. If you could do a guide or something then i'm sure a few other people might benefit from it, you have pretty much made my dream AK there.
It was fucking awful. I spent two days filing and dremeling to get it to fit like it does, and there's still a noticeable gap between it and the rear receiver. Someone on red alliance made a guide to it, but you cannot imagine the amount of work required to get these god damned things to fit. 0/10 would never do again.
I hate having to follow that beauty, but here's this:
It's me again. Hello everyone. New project is an East German rifleman impression, so I've gone about converting a DBoys RK-06 into an MPi-AK-74n. I put an original set of NVA furniture on it and painted my mags to resemble bakelite. It just needs a buttplate and it's good to go. Waxx aways posts the best stuff
This is why I always tell people to make a MPI whenever they ask what AK variant they should build gj You should also try converting a real bakelite mag
I'll leave those for people who actually want to shoot with them. Here's a closer picture of some of the mags as I was working on them. Closest to camera is an unpainted mag.

A while ago I almost got a set of the East German handguards and put them on my AKS-74, but never did. This makes me want to do it again.
There are a number of guides to doing it floating around out there, but I chose to do mine differently. Most of them use wood stain to achieve the grain effect, but that takes days to dry and I don't like waiting for things, so I chose to do mine with acrylic paints. Basically it's a mix of orange spray paint, brown primer, and then Testors 'Rust' acrylic model paint brushed on thin with a fan brush and clear coated. I actually have one left to do tomorrow, so I will try to take some pictures for you.
I now can't decide whether to save up for an AK to stick east german furniture on, or a G3 to stick a wood kit on. East german AK stocks seem to be a pain in the ass to find though so it might come down to whichever i can get the parts for. Only place i could find that sells them adds like $40 on for international orders, so that's annoying. May as well post some of my guns again to start the new page off. I want to do both, it's just a matter of which i want to do first :v: I'd like to make an east german tanker loadout so i probably could get away with a folding stock version, but full stock is just so much cooler.

Hmm. Well I used an AK grip on mine since that was the only thing around, the angle on it is pretty much perfect too.
AR barrel on the AK?
AR barrel on the AK?
You know how some M4s have the two piece barrels? Well I took the extension part and put it onto the AK to hide the longer barrel. I used to have a suppressor on it but it was a few inches longer and super heavy.
