Haha, judging by the missing paint, it looks like you had the same kind of fun experience that I had.
You'd think they would have made them out of metal instead of ice cream, but I guess that's part of the marketing strategy.
Not really my gun, but my friends gun. And it's not really a gun but it's a SMAW. Still WIP.

Man, it makes me wonder, a couple of smart dudes in their backyard with some PVC pipes can make an awesome working SMAW, yet NO airsoft manufacturer, to my knowledge, can seem to make something like this. I heard about an RPG they recently released that throws a mock RPG head like 5 feet or spray a bunch of BBs but that doesn't really count. I think stuff like this is a great direction for more realistic airsoft milsim in the future so its not just oper8r vs oper8r

in other words thats pretty fuckin great
No, it's more like most people don't want to be hit by a full size rocket, foam or not, let alone most insurance at most fields won't allow it, even things like nerf footballs usually can't deliberately be shot at people to my knowledge, and you can't allow it on the field which gives little kiddies the potential to have them and god knows they won't follow the rules, and get lul mad hedshotz with their arpeegee
Even that (I forget who makes it) mortar can be dangerous if by fluke it landed on someone's head and they werent wearing a helmet
I don't mean shot at people, I mean more of shooting at "fake vehicles" or onto a wall or into a room rendering everyone in that room out.
It's a real shame though that airsoft has to be limited to accommodate the kiddies and the "ill sue u" people. I dunno, just my opinion I guess. I see what you guys are saying, though.

At my local site we have a mortar that fires smoke grenades. Anyone within 15m of where it lands is considered dead, its really fun to use.
Heres some awesome pictures of it firing. Its really fucking loud to be next to as well.

Finished my new sidearm today. Now I will never have an excuse not to be carrying at least one shotgun.

And the new feed mechanism works perfectly. Good for six shots, then pull the cap, dump the shell, throw a new one in and it's good to go.

Also, thanks to this, my new op loadout is most likely going to be a machine gun, two shotguns, a submachine gun, a handgun, roughly 20lbs of explosives, give or take 10lbs, and possibly a Panzerfaust if I'm feeling up to it. I'm not kidding in the slightest.
More of the G36. Artistic-ier.
explain me this thing
Allow me. Normally the M500 feeds with those 3 brass tubes, where one tube is feeding and you swap tubes when it runs dry.
What he did was cut the tubes short to push in and hold a standard TM shell, and then make a feeding adapter. He also made an ejector in there somewhere to help push out the TM shell when its done.
Now he can hold a decent amount of ammo in a tiny shotgun, as well as not having to deal with switching between the tubes.
Catbarf needs a title.

No, Catbarf and I just need to combine and start selling stuff like this.
Rabid Cat Tactical anyone?

I'm hardly a guru, the M500 is the one model I know well but Notrabies has me beaten hands-down on the mechanically much more complex Maruzen guns. I'm honestly surprised this project worked out as well as it did. I'm not a shotgun expert, I just like special weapons, be it explosives, shotguns, machine guns, anything besides a rifle.

His description is accurate. Basically I took a Dremel to the receiver block and drilled a new feed hole in the middle, then plugged up the old offset one. Then I sawed the feed nozzle off a junky AK hop-up unit, and epoxied it in place. The shell, which with the rim removed fits perfectly in the tube, gets pressed in by the follower, which forces it against the nozzle and causes it to feed into the receiver block. The ejector is a simple piece of bent brass held in an armature, accessible where the lifter would be on a real shotgun, which when pressed forces the shell out. One of the two shells I've been testing doesn't even need the ejector, because it seals well enough in the tube that the act of pulling out the follower produces sufficient vacuum force to yank it out.
To be honest there isn't too much to see but I'd be happy to make a short video demonstrating its functionality tonight when I get home.

It's starting to come together, Now I'm waiting on my nozzle and mag catch. I haven't played airsoft in over a month. Next up is 16AWG wiring, Deans and Mosfet. I'm also thinking of selling this gun and getting a Matrix FAL. mmmm.

Gonna be honest I have no idea if you all rating 'agree' are agreeing that I suck with Maruzens, that we oughta team up, that I should make a video, or some combination of the above.

That you should team up and also make a video
Here's a picture of the new feed nozzle and improvised ejector. A video of operation is currently copying to my machine and will be on Youtube within an hour or so.

All in all, here's what I had to do:
-Shorten outer barrel
-Shorten magazine tube
-Shorten pump tube (the bit the grip goes over)
-Shorten inner barrel and recrown (doesn't need to be good- I used a power drill and a large bit, it's a shotgun, doesn't matter)
-Build new clamp to connect magazine tube and barrel, I joined them with sections of card then filled with epoxy putty and sanded down
-Build and attach a grip however you like
-Build new feed system and extractor as above
-Shorten and fit tube endcap to work as a follower
That's it. It's really not terribly complicated as far as custom projects go, just a lot of hacking and filing. I started Saturday afternoon, did a little bit of work Sunday morning, and did small amounts of work off and on each evening this week.
Dang, that's badass. Good work.
