This machine was my favorite weapon in FONV
So hard to get but sooooo worth it.
I used it so much and for so long that i almost exhausted the game's supply of .308 ammo. :v:
That's the only gun I would use once I got it.

Hard to get? It's really easy. What did you do to get it that was so hard? I always get in a very quick, simple manner. Just hack his computer and show the data to Boyd. She gives it to you as a reward.

But then you don't have him as a sales merchant because he is put into a cell.
He is also has the largest inventory in the game (except for GRA)
i'm buying a king arms m79 to make...

but without the long barrel

Why would you need a large inventory when you already have This Machine? All you need is .308 rounds. Besides, like you said, the Gun Runners have a larger inventory, and they have their own map fast travel point, making them easier and more efficient to go to. They may cost more, but if you're like me, you have legion assassins after you ever 5 minutes giving you brush guns and 12.7 submachine guns to sell for the caps back.
I used nothing but the anti material and ranger sequoia because im a big bore kinda guy
The super sledge is my anti-everything for close quarters. Anything else is for my marksman rifle.

He has an asinine amount of .308 that he restocks compared to GRA.

War... War never changes
I gotta post my fallout collection again

That's a very cool little collection there, but IMO a tactical M4 doesn't really fit Fallout at all.
[img_thumb]http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110209011217/fallout/images/3/33/Marksman_carbine.png[/img_thumb]
but i do completely agree about it not fitting fallout at all.
I think NV pushed the limits of what fits and what doesn't a little with some of the guns but the marksman carbine was the only gun that really didn't need to be there.
Apparently there's also the Assault Carbine:
[IMG]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110207002950/fallout/images/thumb/9/97/FNV_assault_carbine.png/640px-FNV_assault_carbine.png[/IMG]
Although the magazine and lack of vertical grip make it look significantly more 'retro'. I do agree that F:NV had some guns that really don't fit.
IMO modern guns like the Barrett fit F:NV, so long as they're not what would be considered 'tactical' guns. Maybe I'm being unreasonable but I don't see rails, powered optics, and tactical accessories fitting the post-apocalyptic 60s sci-fi feel.
I think the Assault Carbine fits, it's just when you start having acogs and magpul stocks it starts getting a little dumb and straying into the sort of stuff people do as mods. As poorly modelled as they are, i quite like the Assault Carbine and the Service rifle. They're like [del]badly proportioned[/del] slightly goofy and stylized M16s and XM177s.
The anti materiel rifle is based off a gun designed in 1993, but it just doesn't look out of place compared to stuff like the Marksman Carbine.
Fallout wasn't 60's... the music was 20's-40's and everything was early 50's at the latest.

fallout 2 had the FAL, Desert Eagle, P90, and the G11
And fallout tactics had an m4 I believe, although I'm not sure if tactics is canon
So comfy.

[QUOTE=noneshallpass;41548664]although I'm not sure if tactics is canon[/QUOTE]
I think popular opinion is that it isn't.
The 10mm pistol is pretty much a desert eagle so i wouldn't say that doesn't fit, the P90 and the G11 are the only two out of those that don't really fit into the style, and you could argue that the G11 might just because it looks like a space laser box gun and isn't coated in rails.
I'm going to stop derailing now and post my [del]assault carbine[/del] M727 for content.

You are 100% correct, it's more 50s-inspired, although I'd say it's the whole decade, especially the sci-fi aspects. One thing a lot of people don't seem to realize is that a lot of the Wild West elements in NV are directly taken from late-50s Western serials that were a very popular television genre at the time.

I've been meaning to do something like this for a while and experimented with the possibility of using an AK grip. Mind showing how you did it?

The style, yes, but the bombs dropped in 2077, so theyd be using the same guns they used in 2077, so I think it only makes sense to have tactic00l guns, but thats just me personally.
In Fallout 3 they say that M4s and M16s got phased out in favor of that G3 thing though.

so maybe that m4 acog thing is the same as someone tacticooling a garand or sks

Its the grip from a tape gun, which happened to be exactly the right width, and which has a 15/32" bolt holding it on. This bolt size allows the use of the holes in the bottom of the normal grip. I then drilled four holes in to the t77 grip corresponding to four little posts on the tape grip. Put it on, tightened the bolt and its done.
i just took that picture because everyone was talking about fallout.
i would have removed the rail but it is a pain to get on/off
and there are ris rails on the game so i just left it on
Help me decide which front end

the silencer is too small it looks wimpy
I'm going to have to say two because once you notice the exposed threads on #1 it looks silly, and I agree the smaller suppressor is dinky.
