its still a bit wonky, but it works. Since the JG upper and G&G lower/G&G gearbox arent compatible, I had to do some tinkering to make it work. since there is no rear pin to hold the two recievers together, there is a strip of velcro that's holding the inside of the upper and the gearbox together. It causes the right side of the upper to bulge slightly, but its the only solution I could think of and it's sturdy. Another problem is that the JG upper is shorter than the G&G one, so there is a short small gap at the back

It doesnt really bother me that much and I dont really know what i could do to fix it, but we'll see. Only other things I want for it are slim hand guards and a CAR stock, then it'll be complete.
What's with the sudden interest in M727s/A2 carbines?
Taiwaneseprick said he was building one too but only had an A1 upper.
I've been meaning to convert my G&G m4 into an A2 carbine for months, pretty much since I got my LM4, I just havent been able to find an a2 upper until just recently

whether it be delta or rangers
Just curious, but why do you have 2 of the same gun?
that AW gets me moist
Are you telling me that you got rid of a pre ban tanaka m700?
Arent those super rare
As a matter of fact, I did get rid of it. It was really only because the mag was all fucked up and I didn't have $90+ to shell out to get a new one.
That being said, Desert Rat is completely right. Holding that gun felt like having an orgasm through your hands. It felt like a real gun and certainly better than any other airsoft gun I've even touched.
And I have two Echo-1 SCAR-H's because they're actually really great guns, believe it or not.
I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Daytona Gun yet. THAT gun makes me wet...

I know a guy who has two, he sold one for $400. That was an awesome shooter.

I got to handle my friend's DaytonaGun AK and I can vouch for their fun factor
Funny story I've mentioned once or twice though: the very first time my buddy brought out his DG AK for a game, but something was wrong with his hopup so upon firing, every single bb curved outwards in every direction. The sight of it literally reminded me of spray and pray accuracy in counterstrike
I've called his DGAK the Saiga12 since then

Here's his DG

My first try at painting my gnus.

Used light coats of OD,Tan, and black to achieve the color I desired. (It appears lighter in these images than it is in reality)

Here's the other side, I really like the look of the tan mags with it.

I also OD two-toned my Hi Capa, and I love the result. (the splotchiness is finger prints, not paint inconsistency)

I also decided to take a picture of how I have my lipo set up. The pistol mag pouch is fastened by a strap of velcro(taken from my laptop cord) that I ran through the molle webbing and around the other side of the the gun, fastening it back to itself on the other side.
Now I'm trying to decide if I should use nail polish remover to get rid of the paint covering the fire selector modes, or just write in my own with sharpie.
The pistol looks cool but the mp5 looks like a cheap toy IMO
Externally, the MP5 is pretty much a cheap toy. (one of the reasons I had no problem painting it)
But it's pretty solid on the inside, and has shown no signs of deterioration.
I think it'll look better when the paint starts coming off and it takes on a weathered appearance.
The MP5 might look good with some weathering, but right now it doesn't look so great.
It also doesn't look not like shit :\
Make sure to clear coat it or youll have maximum paint rubbing off
[editline]24th July 2013[/editline]
also its his first paint job, cut him some slack. If he likes it, then good on him. His opinion is the only one that matters on his gun
That reminds me I still need to get SuperClean to remove the paint from my AK handguard.
This time I'm just leaving it black.
I would have left certain parts of the mp5 black. Like the body pins, back plate, and magazine. It still looks good though. But I like weathered guns more than new looking ones. This is partly the reason my M4 looks beat to fuck. The other part of that reason is that my m4 IS beat to fuck.
I lightly weathered it, I'll post more pictures later, sadly, the firing modes were lost in the process because they were only painted on, but I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
Also, in those first two pictures the gun appears significantly more tan/brown than OD, the lighting in my room is strange and causes this.
The last picture does it a little more justice(the light is off), but my camera seems to leave out the finer details in the paint.

Another Famas will be joining tomorrow.
is that a dual power g36c
is that a dual power g36c
Yes, I use it as a wall piece, but I'm gonna use the top rail to make the new famas a felin.
Speaking of G36C, I ordered a Jing Gong yesterday.
Aaaaaa
