The Newest Episode (weekly mission) of Star Trek Online used the battle music from Amok Time, it was epic.
I felt this was Television related since it actually used TV music, how many trek games (besides the SNES and earlier since they were synths so they didn't have to pay for the rights) used the actual music from the series? I think few if not, none did.
Heck Voyager Elite Force had the Opening Sequenced lifted right from the show, but they had their own theme made for the game.
Every Star Wars games has had Music from the movies... But that is probably because the Music is tied right to the Star Wars licence... And every Star Wars game is involved with LucasArts one way or another.
I always hated how the shitty episodes of Voyager (the ones where anything older than 100 years old is "ancient") plagued the series all the way through. I mean TOS, TNG, DS9 and Enterprise all got better as they went on, but Voyager was always either a really good episode or an episode which did nothing at all.
I was actually taken back by how much enterprise improved at season 3 and 4, shame that it got cancelled when it was finally starting to enter its stride.

Yeah, and season 5 looked to be amazing. The Earth-Romulus War, founding of the Federation, possibly another appearance of the Borg...hell, even the Gorn were supposed to show up.

How is that a good thing? More timeline screw ups
How is that a good thing? More timeline screw ups
It wasn't a timeline screw up, though. The original Borg encounter was with the idea that the Borg from First Contact were responsible. Furthermore, it was later covered up by Section 31, which, IMO, are a great plot point that needed to be used more.

true, and there is an Art Department mistake in one episode that has a Data page on the Borg with a Stardate earlier then 'Q Who'
And, the Hansen's (Seven of Nines Family) were researching the Borg before the Ent-D encountered them.

It's also worth noting that the Hansens seem to note that the Borg were a well known urban legend of sorts.
And it's kinda odd that they ran into the Borg so close to the Alpha quadrant...kinda foreboding, too.

Have they ever said where on Earth the Hansen family originates from? Cause Magnus and Annika Hansen sounds so Swedish and it would be cool if they were.

They never said where, but I'm guessing so. They sorta look Swedish too :v:.
I love all of them, even voyager, but I can't fucking stand enterprise, it was so fucking bad.
I mean, voyager had a lot of dud episodes and a plethora of continuity errors, but overall was better than DS9, which only got really good late into the series. And enterprise? It was cheesy bullshit, with no character at all that I actually liked.
I'd also like to take the opportunity to say I must have been high on some kind of crack when I wrote this. I've been watching DS9, and the standard of the episodes, combined with the fact that it actually has continuity, is pretty damn awesome. I'm only on season 4 and apparently it gets even better, so I'll be sure to see it through to the end. Not gonna watch Enterprise though. I'll probably watch Babylon 5 instead, that's apparently good.
dunno if I mentioned but Voyager is my fave

I want to fluff Janeway's bun.....
So i just completed The Next generation and i have started with the next gen movies and DS9. All i can say is that TNG was too slow for me and there where not as many interesting episodes. But almost every Data episode was fun, my favorite character in TNG btw.
But anyway i just started with DS9 and it looks promising so far!
I just started rewatching DS9...I now remember why it's my favorite Trek.

Same here. I remember watching the first season when it aired and thinking it was shit.
When I finally saw the rest of the series after it got canceled I was surprised at how much better it got.
Found this on an another forum. Apperently an another Star Trek show was in the plans but it was shelfed because of the new Star Trek film. But in this site you can read the story about it and the characters that was supposed to be on it, and also the what the first 4 episode was gonna be about.

Man, that could have been good. I'm starting to dislike the new Star Trek even more now.

it was a good movie
It was a great movie, I loved it
Also still steadily watching TNG, and I'm liking it more and more
My favorite series has to be TNG because of it's characters. And the Q episodes made it even better. I also like how the characters change over time (Like how Picard hated children at first then slowly started to like them more.)
Currently I'm watching DS9. It's my least favorite as of right now (haven't watched VOY). It's an okay series with good characters, but I feel it's too "dark" for my tastes. Also, Some characters were ruined for me as well because they changed to quickly.
Yeah picard is pretty awesome
I don't really like the Q episodes that much, he's cool but I find they're a bit annoying. I also wish that Riker would have kept his super fucking insane Q powerz but no, had to become uncool
I recently watched the episode on Data's origins, that was pretty awesome. Loved that
Also watched the episode where they go into the holo room or whatever for one of Picard's choices and they go back to 20s or 30s for some detective story. Man that was awesome. Love it when Data impersonates sherlock homes, or a gangster or something similar.
He's my favourite character for sure

Yeah Data is my favorite from TNG, from VOY Seven of Nine, ENT Tucker and from DS9 i'm not sure yet.
I'm still blissfully ignorant and under the hopes that Paramount caves in and CBS lets a TV series based on the new movie go through. So much potential for plot lines. It's not like it'd be a remake of TOS, thanks to the tech alterations/Vulcan getting kablooied and the escalating war with the Klingons, it would be pretty damn awesome.
[editline]25th April 2011[/editline]
But that ST: Federation concept is actually pretty damn awesome. I thought the whole idea of setting a series so far into the future in the ST universe(3000, whereas the massive leap from our technology to warp travel was done in under 100 years, leaving little room for expansion by 2400, which is still only about 30 years after the end of the last TNG movie and 20 years after the Hobus Supernova, as well as being concurrent with Star Trek Online) would be ridiculous, but the whole "Rome in Decline" theme is actually very, very intriguing.

That sounds pretty cool. But I think 3000 is too far ahead, I know some of you don't like enterprise, but it is Canon, and according to Enterprise, Daniels (the time agent) is from the 31st century.
For those who are fans of Star Trek New Voyages/Phase II the newest episode is out
http://www.startreknewvoyages.com/episode_ES_TrekMovie.html
[sp]Alersa[/sp] Is played by the actress who played the Captain's Woman in the TOS Episode "Mirror, Mirror"
I think its pretty cool a Fan series has been able to get Actors/Actresses from the actual series.
They've had, George Takei, Grace Lee Whitney, Walter Koenig, Denise Crosby. Plus a couple from minor roles in the franchise. They also had Sam Witwer (Doomsday in Smallville, The Apprentice from The Force Unleased, one of the Mains in the American Being Human) do the voice of the guardian of forever. And the host from "The Amazing Race" had a role in one episode.
A couple episodes were Written by writers from the real franchise as well, or inspired by scripts they pitched.
I think that is pretty cool.
Star Trek Tos was the only good one.
One thing I always found funny about ToS, is that despite taking place in "the future" they still used slide rulers to calculate. :v:
I hope they don't try and make a new Star Trek series, because I just know it's going to be the ST equivalent of Stargate: Universe.
cuz the 2009 movie has some other thread or somethin, idk.
that being said the 2009 movie was probably the best star trek movie ever made. also it was on a different timeline
No, the best Star Trek movie Star Trek: The Voyage Home

Fun Fact:
The Voyage Home was entitled
The Voyage Home: Star Trek IV because star trek was doing horrible overseas.
I have to say its a through between the wrath of Khan and first contact for the best ST film, although the voyage home was really good, it had super wales.
