Her replacement was too annoying to like.
She was cute though. The actress who played Jadzia wanted to leave (I don't remember the reason why) that is why she was killed off, a few years later she said she regretted leaving. Also the reason Jadzia doesn't show up in the final episode montage is that they used footage of her in a flash back in an earlier episode without her permission so she denied them using it again.
I still have all the star trek movies to watch almost, should get around to it

I also feel they rather forced the relationship between her and Bashir. I understand she decided to leave which is disappointing, she was my favorite character after all. I wasn't aware that the studio needs the permission of actors to show their previous scenes, the show belongs to them after all, its not like Terry Farrell owns the rights to Jadzia ( I hope)

Maybe if it was a voice acting gig where the character looks nothing like her.

new shots of the Enterprise-F (the contest was hosted/started by CBS so this is the "official" design. It will probably show up in Novels at some point in the future)
The "saucer" section look a bit like the ship from Voyager that the doctor go to from that ancient array that Romulans have taken over.

I don't agree, the Prometheus' saucer was pointier
hideous
Another new shot This ship is like the Reboot enterprise to me, I hated it at first, but more I see of it the more I like it.
Eh, I like the E-F, but I want Cryptic to hurry their asses up and get the Vesta class in STO. That thing is beautiful. Speaking of Star Trek Online, does anybody here play? I just reached Captain for the third time.
You know I have STO :D Also Cryptic wants to get the Vesta ingame, and the Author has allowed them to, but apparently its in legal Limbo. CBS/Cyrptic is trying to figure out how to do it. Because unlike the Luna or the Ent-F the Author still owns the rights to the design.
Is STO any fun? And what is it like?
I really wish Star Trek: Legacy was available on Steam. There's probably no chance of finding it in stores anymore. :frown:
Is STO any fun? And what is it like?
STO is what you make it. Most people rush ahead to the level cap as soon as possible without taking time to see the sights, enjoy diversions, side missions, exploration and diplomacy missions. Some roleplay doesn't go amiss, either. It helps that Cryptic pay attention to the players. The way the game has changed in over a year has been incredible. I would say the "fun" factor has gone up since "shooter mode" was released.

Imagine if Bioware made a Single Player Star Trek RPG :D [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29303569/ENT_F/Ship_Fed_FC5F_Type1_Compilation.jpg[/thumb] Bigger Orthographic, click to enlarge.
When was it that documentary where William Shatner would interview the other captains would air?
I'd like an answer to this as well
I really wish Star Trek: Legacy was available on Steam. There's probably no chance of finding it in stores anymore. :frown:
Uh, why? That game was atrocious.
Uh, why? That game was atrocious.
I hear there's some pretty good mods for it though. Some supposedly making it better and all.
Yeah, it now feels a little like Mass Effect with phasers.
Which is, funnily enough, what the Star Trek 2012 game looks like.
I hear there's some pretty good mods for it though. Especially once you mod it. [editline]27th July 2011[/editline]
Which is, funnily enough, what the Star Trek 2012 game looks like.
Yeah, I'm skeptical about it. High hopes but low expectations. [editline]27th July 2011[/editline]
Imagine if Bioware made a Single Player Star Trek RPG :D
Set it in the 2400s during the STO era, and it'd be the most amazing game ever. Mass Effect style combat and story quality, DAO/KOTOR level RPG elements, and a flavor all it's own, and it'd be pure bliss in the form of a game. My one gripe with STO is that it doesn't feel like an MMO. It feels like a large MMO-style game with a few players and social zones, but no real MMO events. PVP is a joke and Fleet Actions (raids) are now a bitch to get into.
I hear there's some pretty good mods for it though. Some supposedly making it better and all.
Yes, I've tried said mods. Nothing fixes the awful interface and terrible game mechanics. All they do is add more shit to the game. Bridge Commander and Klingon Academy are superior in every way.

Although I hear the Borg are on their way back with new, shiny ships.. Old and Busted... new hawtness.
I saw the original Borg Cube model at the ST museum. That thing was so incredibly detailed

Funny this is, its the exact same model just with a new texture. Yet it looks so much better. They adding a Borg Diamond as well.
It is hawt. Funny this is, its the exact same model just with a new texture. Yet it looks so much better. BEST SERIES OF ST GAMES EVER.
It is hawt. Funny this is, its the exact same model just with a new texture. Yet it looks so much better. They adding a Borg Diamond as well.
The Diamond's probably going to be the Queen's command ship, it's only seen in one Voyager episode and she's on it. And then it disintegrates in a Transwarp conduit. Also, a Borg cube in STO is supposed to be unstoppable unless you have a fleet of ships backing you up...at least, after a coming patch. If you guys haven't heard, they already started the preparations for a Borg invasion event- you now have to remodulate your weapons on the ground and do something similar on ships. And you can get assimilated.
I say again, the Borg used to fly around in those, old.. busted.. ships. Now they fly... the new hawtness.
