I'm assuming you're linking to the holodeck for the first image, it looks the same in the original, only reason you think it blends better because its shitty SD quality blurs it into the background.

I think I could say that the Enterprise episode "Regeneration" had the best score (IMO) of any contemporary Star Trek.

As a big fan of the older Star Trek shows and accompanying movies, I have to say that I enjoyed Abrams' Star Trek, and am very much looking forward to Into Darkness.

Here is a Remastered edit from Season 2 that looks quite good, actually looks quite real as if it was always like this
All they edited the text on the Apollo 17 patch, but it looks quite real, it even follows the fold at the top.

Hopefully that is fixed in the Remastered. They've fixed other placement errors errors, so it probably will.
