I watched the first part of a two-parter episode of Enterprise today which I've seen a few times but I've never seen the second half. Sucks that it's a Friday since that means it won't be on until Monday by which time I would have forgotten to watch it :saddowns:
I have another crazy theory about the 2009 movie if you guys want to hear:
The planet Delta Vega has never been mentioned or appeared in Star Trek before so it's odd that a planet so close to Vulcan would just be there with no mentions before. Well maybe since the black holes in this movie seem to send things back in time (which I have another crazy theory about by the way!) could it be possible that [sp]once Vulcan got destroyed, the little pieces of it went back in time, and formed Delta Vega[/sp]. Explaining why it does exist in the movie but not in the original timeline.

Or it could just be a planet that existed and was never mentioned until the Alternate Reality in Star Trek XI. :downs:
Only one episode left of voyager noooooo :(

Delta Vega? What?
Ohhhhh, you mean Planet Plotdevice

Actually, Delta Vega existed in TOS, however briefly and poorly.

And it wasn't in the Vulcan system. Retcons off to starboard!
i just finished star trek voyager, every episode in order. god damn it was a great ending, i really wish it wouldn't end though, it was only like a month ago that I was on season 3 and I was like "oh im not even half way yet..." but now I am sad yet happy.

Watch DS9 from Season 4 to the end. That's good too. Especially that last 8 episode mini-arc.

I think that was a different Delta Vega, if I recall. Hooray for forgetful naming?

What's wrong with watching it from S1 to the end?
S1 wasn't too great, sure, but it got better towards the end... and S2 has some fantastic Cardassian episodes, introduces you to the Maquis, and has a brilliant finale.
And S3 started off quite good, going to be watching more later on.
The whole Maquis thing just irritated me.
DS9 and VOY were both miles better when they binned them off.

I loved "move along home" that episode was fuckin weird.
Decided to watch ds9 since I finished both TNG and VOY, saw the first two episodes (two parter), idk it wasn't groundbreaking or anything, but it was okay I guess, i did miss miles and it's not every day you see an entire star base move.

First 2 seasons of DS9 are weak. It gets better from 3 onwards.

Hope so, I'm almost out of Voyager
[editline]3rd November 2010[/editline]
Jesus I just realized how awesome the word Voyager is, look at those letters
I just figured i'd post this here, someone in the video forum posted it like 2 hours ago, but it's hilarious.

basically sulu owns someone.
I always wondered why do they fill the starships full of people?
Why not fill the ships full of holograms?
I mean why not its alot safer than sending live people.

With the amount of problems that happen with holograms each episode I think it would be crazy.

Lmao do you realize how many power failures are in each episode, it'd be a disaster
Then send out warships filled with holograms to fight most of there enemies if they get destroyed then the ships were probally going to be destroyed anyway so why not account for loss of life?

Because holograms are incredibly simple. They can do basic tasks and tasks they're specialised in only. The Doctor is an exception because he was on for years at a time, his program had to be upgraded and was able to expand itself, so he became more complex as the series continued. For example in season 1 he was barely more that a machine, by the end he's struggling with whether he's technically "alive" and whether or not he should have a name.
Mainly because they WANT to explore themselves. They want to reach out and go places they haven't been before. It's more dangerous, but allows much more contact with species and the chance to learn about new things other than downloading information in to a database.
That's how I see it at least.

Mainly because the Federation hasn't figured out what a capacitor or a circuit is. You'd think that after hundreds of years of ship design, they'd figure out a way to avoid having the consoles explode every time the ship bumps into something.

What holographic Robert Picardo said.

They also need to get some anti-virus software that works on LCARS.
They also need to get some anti-virus software that works on LCARS.
Yeah, you'd think an ultra advanced quantum computer would have some type of antivirus. I mean, I bet the NuTrekverse has, like, Avast or some shit, but...
I thought the very nature of a quantum computer itself was the antivirus software.
The Doctor is awesome.
I used to love him as a kid.
Still do.
Then why not just program a ship to hunt and destroy, say borg vessels or something?
Then why not just program a ship to hunt and destroy, say borg vessels or something?
Only race that can consistently kick the Borg's ass is Species 8472, who don't really want to play nice with anyone else anyway. Of course, they had that nifty tech in the end episode of Voyager that seriously damaged the Borg.

So we thought, but apparently not.

And they'll adapt to that so fast that it won't make a difference.

Well they lost the Unicomplex in the process, as well as one of six transwarp hubs in the entire Collective. Not to mention the loss of their queen and the spread of a virus that was not only extremely lethal to the Borg, but seemed to be immune to their adaption technology. The extent of the damage to the Borg was never really explained, since the episode this all occurred is considered the "latest" in the Star Trek timeline.
