The virus only effected the queen and Unimatrix 01, which to say is a fuckton of borg
Well, going by Star Trek Online, the Borg have recovered from the damage. Same for the books, albeit [sp]the Borg are now extinct after taking about 50% of the galaxy with them[/sp]. I guess on-screen canon only goes up to the latest movie, but that didn't give much about the Borg post-Voyager except that the Romulans used Borg tech to make Narada.

I used to love him as a kid.
Still do.
Of which doctor are you speaking?

Joe, the EMH of Star Trek: Voyager, I assume.
Interesting, Memory Alpha is saying that the Collective was within weeks of complete extermination during the events of Scorpion/Scorpion II, would it have made any difference to stopping Species 8472's rampage across the galaxy if they used the bio-torpedoes after the Borg were destroyed?
Dammit I hate the Borg a little too much.
Just finished watching through the four seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise and I honestly think it's not that bad. There's a lot of retarded shit that frustrates the hell out of you like their constant failure to learn from their mistakes though. If they actually started wearing their EV suits so they didn't constantly get infected by all sorts of viruses they could've probably cut it down to 2 seasons. But other than that it's pretty decent.
Why dont they ever wear any kind of armour? I mean dont you think any kind of armour would be benificial?
Probably not. Even ablative armor wouldn't do much on the ground against energy weapons. I actually made a thread about this in GD a few years ago. Before it got locked, everyone pretty much agreed that the armor required to protect against energy weapons wouldn't be necessarily beneficial. In space, it's a different story.
because armor would do very little to stopping a hand phaser. Unless they had a personal shield device (which to my knowledge only the borg have those, but I remember an ep of TNG where geordi fabricated something similar that would last like 20 minutes) there's no point to it.
Next Star Trek film should do Borg.
I wanna see Kirk and Spock take them on.
Borg used to terrify me.
Borg in the alternate verse...should be worthy of a film seeing as the alternate verse (technically, our universe in the future) has technology on the level of post-Nemesis TNG.

This is exactly what I thought at the end of Star Trek XI. I'd love to see how the Borg are in the alternate reality and how JJ Abrams will use them in the story.

I wonder what their new look will be?
I wonder what their new look will be?
I think they'd look like ours. They should be mostly unaffected by the timeline change, only the alpha quadrant was hit by the time travel.
I just figured i'd post this here, someone in the video forum posted it like 2 hours ago, but it's hilarious.

I would go gay for Takei
I would go gay for Takei
His voice is so awesome, and he's got a kickass personality. He and Leonard Nimoy are national treasures.
I don't want to see the Borg for a while. They were done to death in Voyager and we've already had one movie centred around them. I hope the next movie has something to do with the Klingons blaming the Romulans for the Nerada destroying their ships. Though I bet it's going to be Khan in the new timeline.
I just noticed something. George Takei said he bought a countdown clock, but it's counting up :o

yeah first contact and the voy episodes were enough dealing with the borg imo, i mean [sp]the entire culmination of voyager revolves around the borg[/sp]
I would like to know how B-4 turned out after nemesis [sp]since data died and all[/sp] but I imagine there isn't much story to tell, and if there was, certainly not enough to warrant a movie.
They totally need to do a movie with the Dominion, now that's an antagonist done right.
i really wish it wasn't 200 dollars to buy the complete series of TNG.
shit sucks

In the prequel comics to the 2009 movie, B4 has completely regained all of Data's memories and is essentially Data now. Kinda defeats the fact of what he did in Nemesis but then again I never liked Nemesis.
Hi i'm almost completed Voyager and i thought i'm gonna watch TNG after it. But i've heard that Generation takes place before TNG or something like that. So should i watch Generations before TNG or what should i do?

Generations takes place after the series.
I used to love Generations when I was younger. I used to watch it over and over as if it were Aladdin.
When I watch it now I notice all of its plot holes and whatnot and it ruins my memories :saddowns:

you should have seen the prices for the individual seasons when they first came out. They were almost 200 dollars.

none of the TNG movies are good ESPECIALLY generations

First Contact was fucking awesome :saddowns:
avoid them like the fucking plague - first contact is alriiiiiight but only if you have a massive hardon for trek history, enough to ignore dumb plot holes and mindless action sequences
First Contact and Generations are the only TNG ones I watch.
We have them all on Blu-ray, dad wanted them for his birthday. Hes suppose to be getting me the TOS movie collection on Blu-Ray
First Contact > Generations > Insurrection > Nemesis
I draw the "bad" line between Generations and Insurrection somewhere but it might be a bit blurry. I probably like Generations more because I have fond memories of it. It seems to have more plot holes than Insurrection but at least it wasn't boring and didn't have quite so many completely pointless scenes.
Nemesis isn't as bad as Final Frontier but I find it's the closest they've got.
