DS9 has some boring episodes and annoying characters (I swear the entire Bajoran race is made up of whiny babies) but when something awesome happens they make sure its awesome. Not to mention for every boring character they have two interesting ones. I also like that they focused on the Ferengi a little more since they're always adding some kind of ridiculousness to the story.

Thats funny cause the Ferengi episodes were the most unpopular, thats why they didn't do more.

I thought they'd be space battles, and planets being explored and stuff
but instead they were investigating some murder on a shitty space station.
But it's okay because the original series makes up for all the fail. I only saw one episode though, so it's not a fully based view
If you can handle the original series then you handle DS9.

I think I'm the only person on the face of the earth that actually finds the Ferengi interesting. Everyone else is really into Klingons or Vulcans but everyone knows you can't obtain copious amounts of profit if you don't have the lobes. Yeah they're pretty damned ugly but I actually like the Ferengi episodes.

Why would you skip an entire series because the first few seasons suck.
It gets better when Worf joins the cast in Season 4.

Man, I used to enjoy it when Channel 4, a British TV Channel, showed the original Star Trek episodes every week.
Its still on Channel One and CBS Action in Ireland and the UK.
Voyager was the best!
In a Mirror Darkly was one of the best Trek episodes ever imo

I've come to respect the Dominion as a well done "villain race."
It's even more impressive since the ships they used throughout DS9 were the ones they could get before the wormhole was mined, thus making reinforcements impossible.

season 4 of enterprise is the only good one (Minus the finale) heck its the only season of Enterprise I own and ever plan on owning.

It's tied for me, along with Search for Spock, Voyage Home, and 2009. By the way, every season of Enterprise is great. It's an origin story, and that's what I love about it. One of my favorite episodes, is the one where Mayweather and Archer are in that Suliban detention camp. The Xindi story arc was awesome too. My favorite shows are Voyager, TOS and Enterprise. Also, regarding the tv shows, OP forgot to indite the Animated Series. At least Rasrap sorta mentioned it, but not quite well. They have all the episodes on youtube actually.
