Machete just completely misunderstood what it was supposed to do. It was badly paced which I don't understand in the slightest because Planet Terror is one of the absolute best parody b-movies ever made.
The gags were far and few between and mostly just lackluster, as was the action.
You don't usually go from making a masterpiece like Planet Terror to a hiccup like Machete.
