Certainly this scene was one of the most memorable scenes for me. This movie was definitely a diamond in the rough. This scene definitely hit me in the feels. It was one of the most memorable scenes because I didn't expect it in an Adam Sandler Shtick. In a mediocre movie full of cheap laughs and scenes, hidden beneath was a very powerful and dramatic scene. When Michael finds out his father passed away (due to the skipping years and parts of his life), he visits his father's grave. Michael asks the Morty (angel of death) to take him to the time when he last saw his father. After watching this scene for the 30th time I still cry (especially when I see the "I love you son" quote and the expression on his dad's face). What is your most memorable scene in a mediocre movie (whether it's mediocre to you or had negative/mixed critic reviews)? Feel free to share below.
This is the first movie that made me cry. I love this movie.
Knowing had some pretty good disaster set pieces. Plane crash notably. It was mind blowing in theaters from the sound alone. And the "numbers" predict the future thing was interesting. The "aliens" ending was kinda what ruined it for me though and felt like a cop-out to create a "happy" ending.
What ruined it for me was Nicholas Cage having to Google 9/11/2001 to find out what happened.
Are you seriously calling Children of Men a mediocre movie?
I need to give Children of Men another watch. It's been a few years, but the last time I watched it I found it exceptionally boring and overall feeling very stiff and mediocre at best. Maybe I was having a bad day when I watched it last. :v:

Who could forget the Freeway chase in the Matrix Reloaded?

It is an exceptional film. Give it another go.

If you watched it when you were a lot younger or something I can understand it seeming boring, it does take a while to pick up, but that isn't the main reason it's so damn good. Give it another shot as soon as you can, get involved with it rather than just watching it. It's a great film.
average show overall but the main actor is really good, it has its moments
Spiderman 3 was an enormous pile of crud which made this scene such a surprise. It was really powerful.
One of the best scenes in the history of filmmaking, i'd say. Some people consider Seeking a Friend for the end of the world a mediocre movie but I for one thought it was a great film. This scene in particular hit me right in the feels, everyone knows the end is coming and families are just spending time together.
The Mist It was pretty boring movie until this part.
The Mist is a great film though.
Sorry for shit quality I enjoyed this movie, but I didn't think it was anything spectacular. This is easily the most memorable scene in the movie, for some context, Ruffalo just got fired from his music business company thing and he's looking for a new talent to promote. He's an alcoholic and this is what he sees from Knightley's performance while he's drunk.
I don't remember if the movie was that good or not but this scene is great.
