So, I have always wondered: Waterbending - Bloodbending Firebending - Lightningbending Earthbending - Metalbending Airbending - ? What's airbending specialty? Can they create a vacuum (vacuumbending ?) around an opponent?
now I'm sure p azula means pimp azula or pissed azula both work of course
(lol) It stands for Princess. But yes, those work as well.

I guess a Airbender could do something to the same effect of bloodbending by bending the oxygen in the blood.

Or an airbender can suck the wind out of someone's lungs.
Or make them explode by creating a vacuum around them.
Each element can really fuck a person up technically if they had the balls. Airbender: Create vaccum, suck air out of lungs Waterbender: Dehydrate someone, bend blood Earthbender: Create sinkhole underneath enemy, crush them under rock Firebender: Burn someone horribly, suck heat out of someone and freeze them to death

Yes they can. Iroh heated tea with firebending. That's using heat.
Yue said that the first waterbender was the moon, and people watching it pull the tides in and out replicated it and started waterbending. They also draw power from the moon and can grow immensely powerful during a full moon. Yet the moon's pull on the tides is due to gravity, so wouldn't an advanced form of waterbending be gravitybending? Actually, it's also probable that the gravity extent that the moon exerts on the planet is due to the power of the Moon Spirit, and all waterbending is derived from that spirit.
Waterbenders could rip out the water in someones body, which would kill them. Airbenders could collapse blood vessels and lungs. Firebenders could burn all the oxygen out the air around someone. Earthbenders can crush someone into tiny bits, or drop them down a hole and then fill it. The most practical ways they could have killed people, which would have saved them the dancing around, but it's Nick, so none of that was going to happen.

Not gravity. They learned to push and pull the water spirit.

Than they could just pull out giant stone slabs and seal their prey in tight.

How the hell did a bunch of Inuits manipulate water by copying the damn moon?
Legend of korra sounds awesome. Can't wait for references back to the original. Think there will be new bending?

Yep.
Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the adventures of a 12 year-old boy named Aang and his friends who must save the world from the Fire Nation's 100 year lasting war and bring peace to the world Cast (data and images stolen from the Avatar Wiki): [release]Aang Avatar Aang, an Air Nomad, is the current Avatar, the manifestation of the world in human form, and thus the only person in the Avatar world who can use all four bending disciplines: Airbending, Waterbending, Earthbending and Firebending. He is also one of the few Avatars to learn Energybending, and the only one to use it during the series. they should make a ragdolls of them to gmod i love this cartoon! Before the beginning of the series, Aang was frozen in an iceberg for 100 years. He emerges, still biologically twelve years old, into a world engulfed by war. During his absence, the Fire Nation waged war with the other nations, and managed to completely wipe out the Air Nomads. It falls to Aang, the last of his kind, to put a stop to the war by mastering the other three elements and defeating Fire Lord Ozai. He remains something of a goofy, kind kid at heart, despite the overwhelming loss of his people and the heavy burdens he has been forced to bear. [/release] [release]Katara Katara is a Waterbender who, just like her older brother Sokka, was born and raised in the Southern Water Tribe by her grandmother, Kanna. Katara was the last Waterbender in her Tribe, and led a normal teenage life until she and her brother discovered an Air Nomad named Aang frozen in a block of ice. When she finds out he is none other than the Avatar, lost for a hundred years, she becomes hopeful that he is the one who will save the war-torn world. Katara and her brother leave their Tribe behind to travel with Aang, helping him to finally put a stop to the Fire Nation's devastation. Along their travels, Katara's Waterbending abilities grow steadily with Aang's, until she surpasses him and becomes the Avatar's Waterbending teacher. Her mastery over the element makes her a formidable ally to their group, and she becomes a close friend and mentor to Aang. Once Aang fulfills his destiny and stops the war, Aang and Katara begin a close romantic relationship. [/release] [release]Sokka Sokka is a teenage Water Tribe warrior. Raised by his grandmother Kanna along with his younger sister Katara in the Southern Water Tribe, Sokka is the son of Chief Hakoda, who left along with all other men to fight the Fire Nation. As a result, Sokka was the oldest male in the South Pole. He assumed responsibility for the tribe until his sister discovered an Air Nomad named Aang frozen in a block of ice. When he learns that Aang is the Avatar, he is at first skeptical that a child could really save the world. As he and his sister help Aang on his quest, he begins to believe that Aang really is the only hope for peace in the world. Despite his inability to bend, Sokka becomes the strategist of the group, constantly trying to prove himself to be a great warrior like his father. Sokka is also the "matter of fact" guy in the group and does not believe in spirit magic, and he calls it "mumbo-jumbo". Originally poor, his leadership skills improve over the series as well. His humor and his ability to organize and plan becomes imperative to the group on their travels. By the end of the series, Sokka becomes a master swordsman and finally becomes a great warrior like his father. [/release] [release]Toph Bei Fong Toph Bei Fong, usually referred to as simply Toph, is an Earthbending master. Blind since birth, Toph was constantly looked down upon for her disability and her stature as an innocent little girl, especially by her over-protective parents. Upon discovering Badgermoles, earth-dwelling animals who were blind just like her, she learned seismic sense through them- the ability to use Earthbending as an extension of her senses and effectively give her "sight" through vibrations in the ground. Known as the "Blind Bandit", she mastered Earthbending through her own style and developed a tough-guy personality, becoming infamous by winning underground Earthbending tournaments behind her parents' backs. Uninterested at first, she chooses to leave behind her old life and travel with Avatar Aang and friends to be his Earthbending teacher. Toph's mastery over earth, especially with Metalbending, as well as her unique personality, proved her to be a valuable addition to the Avatar's group. [/release] [release]Zuko Zuko is a skilled and powerful Firebender, born as a prince in the Fire Nation royal family. His story often paralleled that of the Avatar, Aang. Initially an antagonist, Zuko's life revolved around trying to capture the long-lost Avatar to end his banishment and to regain his honor as Crown Prince of the Fire Nation. Zuko is easily recognized by the characteristic burn scar on the left side of his face given to him by his abusive father, Fire Lord Ozai shortly before his banishment. On his journey to capture the Avatar, he is assisted by his uncle Iroh in Firebending training. [/release] [release]Azula Azula is the princess of the Fire Nation, daughter of Fire Lord Ozai and Princess Ursa, and the younger sister and archenemy to Prince Zuko. She was a key enemy of Team Avatar, chasing Avatar Aang and her banished brother far across the Earth Kingdom accompanied her two best "friends" Mai and Ty Lee. A Firebending prodigy, Azula is sadistic, manipulative and obsessed with power. [/release] [release]Iroh Iroh is a retired Fire Nation general, a former Crown Prince of the Fire Nation, a Grand Master (Lotus) of the Order of the White Lotus, a Firebending Master, and a mentor to his nephew, Prince Zuko. Iroh is the son of Fire Lord Azulon, and the older brother of Fire Lord Ozai. His prowess in Firebending has earned him the title The Dragon of the West. Unlike others from the Fire Nation, particularly within his own family, Iroh is an easy-going and spiritual man and is somewhat of a hedonist. He appreciates the balance of the four elements, even incorporating facets from the other elements into his own Firebending skills. He has aided Avatar Aang and his companions on several occasions, and for this was branded as a traitor. After the traumatic death of his son Prince Lu Ten, Iroh sees Zuko as his own son rather than his nephew. Iroh has influenced Zuko to choose his own destiny rather than the destiny that others have expected of him. He currently serves tea for his retirement. [/release] [release]Ozai Ozai was the tyrannical ruler of the Fire Nation, the father of Prince Zuko and Princess Azula, and the main antagonist of the Avatar series. Like every Fire Lord, Ozai was a Firebending Master, and prior to the ending of the series, is believed to have been the most powerful Firebender in The World of Avatar. Ozai is the second born son of Fire Lord Azulon and Fire Lady Ilah, after his older brother Iroh. He was the husband of Ursa, and by her had two children, Zuko and Azula. After Iroh's only son Lu Ten died, Ozai usurped his brother's right to the throne, in a scheme which resulted in his father's death and Ursa's banishment. Like his father and grandfather, Ozai sought to conquer the other nations and become the supreme ruler of the world. To this end he planned to utilize Sozin's Comet to burn down the Earth Kingdom, renouncing the title of Fire Lord and declaring himself the Phoenix King, ruler of the world. He was defeated by Avatar Aang, who used Energybending to remove his Firebending power forever. [/release]
The new season is coming soon right? That whole new avatar campaign on nicktoons said it would be coming after all of the re-runs were done right?
The new season is coming soon right? That whole new avatar campaign on nicktoons said it would be coming after all of the re-runs were done right?
I have no idea what you're asking. As for as we know, there won't be a season 4, however, there are rumors of a new show called Avatar: The Legend Of Korra, that will take place 100 years later with a water bending avatar who will be mentored by aang.
Holy shit what the fuck is energy bending? I used to watch the series when I was younger but slowly stopped watching it.
Holy shit what the fuck is energy bending? I used to watch the series when I was younger but slowly stopped watching it.
Only two people can do it. Aang, and some kind of fucking turtle with a lion's head that apparently doesn't exist. When you start it, it's basically like a one on one duel, on who has the stronger energy. If the starter is weaker, they die. If they're stronger, I think they can do whatever the fuck they want with the loser. In Aang's case, remove his bending ability. No idea how the fuck they put that in the show's logic, but they did.

It was used as a way to [sp]defeat Phoenix King Ozai without killing him,[/sp] something that Aang desperately wanted to do. It was also introduced in the episode before the last, so you won't find much material covering it.
I do have to say my favorite character is Sokka, and no, not just because of the comic relief aspect. He's all stupid and slow in the beginning, then gets all badass with that badass meteor sword (which he loses...).
the lion turtle was intense as hell. Bigger than a damned blue whale that thig is!
