I just don't get why they bring their fetish to the public. If you're into bondage, you don't walk into town in bdsm gear, and if you're into, i dunno, crossdressing or something, you don't walk into town in a dress.
So why are furries different?
Because it is not a Fetish. That is the difference.
Close-minded fucks everywhere ITT.
haha this is quite amusing
The steampunk stuff looked awesome.
and if you're into, i dunno, crossdressing or something, you don't walk into town in a dress.
actually yes we do
all the time
Steampunk art easily beats this these days "modern art"

I'd love to see some cyberpunk related stuff
Sounds like something I'd want to watch, maybe get some understanding of it instead of only hearing: "Furries are stuped!" and "Weabooo!"
Sorry. My Internet tourettes came into play here. And i hate furries. At the slightest mention of them i'll start swearing.
It's still not a proper survey. It's Wikipedia remember? Some moderators on Wikipedia are furries. Have you ever heard of the FURLUMINATI?! The furluminati attempts to spread lies in order to make us believe that furries are not too bad. Their leader is a Wikipedia admin.
Isn't that in all groups/fandoms? There is always a group that makes it look good, then one that just screws everything over. And it looks like you didn't look at the references either.
Some of these were really damn cool, but I don't think furries need any more attention.
Furries have enough attention, they don't need more. They already have an episode of Fanboy Confessional. But is there such thing as too much attention?

Furries associate themselves with animals and way more people know animals than BDSM or CrossDressing. Animals are everywhere anyways and kids don't even know what BDSM is or even steampunk. What they do know are animals as animals are part of their childhood and they seen then on TV all the time. You don't see BDSM or Cross dressing on childrens TV shows now do you?

So why are furries different?
Well there are some cross dressers that do but unlike bondage furrism is (again for some) is a whole lifestyle. Furrism is a community based off of a fetish so its more to them then just something to get off to.
I'm sorry, but wearing animal suits in public pretending to be an animal whilst getting some sexual pleasure from it is not by all means socially acceptable. Of course they're going to be criticized to hell because 'furry' is just a damn fetish, nothing more.
Well gay is a type of fetish but to the same sex and yet some make it there lifestyle as well.
The worst part about steam punk is how expensive it is.

If I were to have a foot fetish, would I go parade around with photos of feet around the street or something as equally retarded? No.
I wouldn't go and start an entire "sub culture" as they call it around it either because it's just a fetish.
Furries are really nothing but self deluding attention whores.

Furry is NOT a Fetish.
Furry is NOT a Fetish.
It is but it can also be more then that. Like how being attracted to the same sex is a fetish but at the same time can also be a lifestyle.
Furry is NOT a Fetish.
Furry Is a fetish
Furry is NOT a Fetish.

WAT
No seriously, what?
For that ^ it's to entertain and to earn money.
Fursuiters usually do it for fun. And the ability to be kinda anonymous. And those suits are expensive and if you are like a suit builder, you can earn a lot of money. And some are pretty cool and nice. They don't just walk around with it on, they can go bowling, playing golf perhaps? It's just like clothing, just different from everything else. They can basically go anywhere with it on.
[editline]9th July 2011[/editline]
or what turns people on and their fetishes...?
I'm not entertained if I see someone dressed up as a fox walks around when I'm out shopping (real life experience) I just get disturbed.
Furry Is a fetish
No. For some it is, not for all.
No. For some it is, not for all.
It is.
Deep deep in their sub-conscious.
No. For some it is, not for all.
Exactly. Furry means the group of people that have interest in human-like animals, or can be a fetish.
You can be Asian and not have an Asian fetish.
[editline]10th July 2011[/editline]
and oh no people doing things that they enjoy that may weird out some people? how dare them!!!
The dive in the nerf-gun duel in OP was actually pretty damn clever.
It is.

I'd be okay with furries if it was just a fetish.
It's not. It's them being annoying twats and telling everyone about their bizarre sexual fantasies.
publicizing fetishes is fucking stupid and furries are fucking stupid if they do it
I am being completely serious now ignore the god damn title
I'm a anime-con goer, so I'll be watching this series. Where will the full videos be up? Youtube? Or elsewhere?
Okay, Furry is not a fetish.
fur is, so are animals.
Anything can be a fetish, ANYTHING.
A Furry is a person that is into the Furry Fandom.
When you use "furry" to describe something such as "That's so furry", then whatever it is, it's compared to the furry fandom.
It might have just been the frames moving and changing so quickly.
But some of those anime cosplay chicks were pretty hawt
The first 19 seconds put so much adrealine into my veins that i'm not sure if i can watch it to the end, If i do i'll probably turn into hulk.
The only problem I have is that people labels an artist or writer as a "Furrys". Just because they feature characters who are animals the have human traits.
I don't think Walt Disney or Hannah Barbara made any of their cartoons with the intention for them to have sex (At least I hope not O_O).

People can sometimes put a little part of themselves in whatever they design.
Honestly, i'm no fanboy of steampunk, but I think it's the most badass thing ever.

I have an Asian fetish.
Some of the people in the video make anime fans look bad. :smith:

it's like how people call people gay when they have raindows all over the place or wear a pink shirt. for gods sake, it's just a colour!

anthropomorphic :eng101:
and i kinda hate it whenever someone mentions anthro or anthropomorphic, they resort to thinking it's furry...
also, in art sites they label furry art as anthro so any anthro-whatever could be called furry for no reason.
