No its true at anime conventions there will always be some girls who go there to show off there bodies. The better looking they are the more they tend to show. I think thats one of the reasons cosplay is more popular with females.

I want to go the that western con. I loved dressing up like a cowboy when I was a kid, they have awesome hats and even cooler boots. I don't think I would take it seriously though, I would try to talk with southern drawl and burst out laughing every 10 seconds.

They admit that some, not all. You find fat people everywhere so it doesn't say much. And usually stereotypes had some basis in truth long ago, like when computers weren't nearly as widespread, so it's unfair to make those generalizations.

Therefore stereotypes are still bad but have a bit of truth in it. Of course, it's usually the generic truth such as a fat guy.
