My roomate often takes hour long shits. It's because he had gangrene in his intestines and had 7ft of it removed. So everytime he shits it's as if he's having massive painful diahareeha and it takes him an hour. He usually only goes sometime after work though

Personally, I'd confront him about it and tell him how he's keeping me from doing my job, then give him an ultimatum that if he doesn't reform I'll tell the boss.

Reminds me of a situation i'm in myself. I work at an estate agents and go to the toilet for roughly 2 hours every day. I sit in there alone, smelling fresh toilet paper and thinking of the best way to express my love for a certain work collegue... but when i finally pluck up the courage to talk to him and leave the bathroom he always looks pretty pissed. Asfar as I know there isnt a law against this, however your boss can fire him because it is reasonable grounds if he isnt working for 2 hours out of a day and still being paid. Or your boss can ask him to work unpaid overtime for 2 hours. But i seriously doubt your [B] shitty [/B] friend would do anything like that.
