Sucker punch has a Director's cut which is slightly longer with a few extra scenes.
Maybe he just added some more slo-mo in to make the scenes -seem- longer.
Army of Darkness has an alternative ending. "In an alternate ending after Ash drinks the potion that would make him sleep long enough to wake up in his own time, he accidentally drinks too much and wakes up in the future. In the new time it's a post-apocalyptic wasteland of a world and he screams "I slept too long!"" I believe one set of vhs releases replaced the original ending with the alt one. It may have just been the European release, I'm not sure.
Sucker punch has a Director's cut which is slightly longer with a few extra scenes.
that just begs the question of why anyone would want to sit through sucker punch for an even longer period of time than strictly necessary
the theif and the cobbler had a shit-ton of recuts. there was the original, the disney cut, the miramax cut, and the recobbled version

they wouldve been able to change the ending of army of darkness anyway just like they did for evil dead 2 by saying it was a dream he had or something
Metropolis has had a bunch of different cuts over the last 80 years, major ones include changes for English markets, and alterations due to lost/found footage. The definitive cut of the film was finally released a couple of years back, and included all the footage that had been recovered a few years previous.
AFAIK There was even a cut with 80's pop music.
Well there's that Final Destination choose-your-own-ending feature. Most of the time it just slightly different way of how they died.
Once Upon A Time In America. Oh how they butchered the original release. There's a 5-7 hour version somewhere too. :v:
I want to fucking see the 5-7 hour piece...I loved Once Upon A Time in America so bad..
Didn't metropolis have a lot of different versions since they found new lost film?
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy: Extended Cuts [editline]5th November 2011[/editline] Also Avatar had two extended cuts.
I so badly want the extended cuts. Sounds like they add a lot of left out stuff from what I have seen.
This one? http://www.criterion.com/films/27513-the-thin-red-line?q=autocomplete
I must correct myself now because I saw Criterion's bluray release of Thin Red Line and it's like 3 hours. but shit there's a 5 hour version?
One of my personal favorites "Sin City" has two completely versions. Theatrical version was pretty much like a normal movie while Director's Cut was edited like four short films (actually with credits in between) that are interconnected, also more scenes.
Once Upon a Time in the West and Once Upon a Time in America got butchered for American theatrical release
Leon (The Professional in the US) had an extended cut which was pretty poorly received by test audiences in America.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind had 3 different cuts, the extended cut had a bunch of new stuff filmed including a pointless ending where you see the inside of the space ship, the directors cut is similar to the extended cut, but Spielberg restored the original ending.
If I remember correctly the Land of Blood and Honey was shot twice. Once in English and once in Serbian.

Army of Darkness also had a cut with a sex scene in it.
Huh, I was under the impression that that footage was released and that it was on youtube, but I guess not.
Huh, I was under the impression that that footage was released and that it was on youtube, but I guess not.
If I remember correctly, the crew from the remake made a recreation of what they believe the scene would have been like based on what few notes and storyboards they could find. That's on Youtube, but I'm pretty sure the actual original is still lost.
This website is pretty useful for those who want to see comparison between the different versions of some movies: http://www.movie-censorship.com/
Interestingly enough, Stripes had an extended cut.
Good one! The theatrical cut is a very weak movie, but I think the Director's Cut is the best in the series.
haha what did you somehow miss Alien and Aliens or did you think they added 3 in the title for laughs
No I think he just means that the Director's/Assembly cut of Alien 3 is a good movie and his personal favourite
from what I gathered he said that the alien 3 directors cut was the best of any of the films in the series which, yeah, DC of A3 is good, but it isn't Alien good.

His opinion is that Alien 3 DC is his favourite in the series, and there's nothing wrong with that
except for the part where its wrong
