In suicide mission I know for a fact that at one point magic flying floors made a path all the way to the Human Reaper, its not the first time someone messed up with level design.
i would get so sick of hearing my own voice
[editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
i'm not. SOME of the review is character, but most of the time that is the way i am and the way i sound when talking about something as terrible as mass effect 3; sarcastic and depressed. i also exaggerate my "i'm confused" voice when writing is really confusing. and if you are like me and understand good video game writing and good gameplay mechanics, and like to have fun while playing the video games, mass effect 3 (as was dragon age 2 i might add) is extremely depressing to look at on such a grand scale of the series and bioware and ea, etc.
tl;dr the voice is natural and i'm really not trying hard to sound like plinkett. but because you loved me3 i don't think you really would care, because of the nature of my review (because i called me3 "fucking garbage", specifically) and i'm sure you were a little insulted.
Nah I could really care less about your opinion, it simply does not matter to me because I simply enjoyed the game a great deal. No amount of video reviewer telling me how bad it is is going to change that.
I don't understand this phrase. So you care a little bit because it's possible for you to care less? Does that mean you care or not?
You certainly know what I meant and the fact that you felt the need to point it out means that you're just resorting to childish retorts.

you're getting perturbed over my opinion over a video game on a message board on the internet.
kettle, this is pot. you're black.
please understand that i respect your natural human ability to enjoy whatever you wish to enjoy, but calling people childish over, yknow, video games, is... hmm :\

Well considering how hostile and aggressive you were towards the game, you can't possibly tell me you didn't expect a bit of controversy. In fact that's exactly why you made the video, you made it on a hot-topic to get a lot of people talking about it.
While it's true that section especially has it's writing flaws, it doesn't at all detract from the game's experience. I didn't even notice any of the writing errors during gameplay and all in all ME3 was an exhilarating experience that I loved every second of. Except the end.
I know graphics dont make a game, honestly i know this.
But how in the actual fuck did they manage to make EVERYTHING about ME3 look WORSE than ME2, from what i understand unless it's a complete visual style change, HOW DO YOU MAKE SOMETHING LOOK WORSE?
I really liked those videos. Personally, I liked ME3, but I understand and agree with all of your points (mainly because they were well-thought out and persuasive with evidence to back them up). Good job! I'm a writer, so I absolutely loved how you approached how gameplay affected the story and different mistakes they made.
I guess if I really had to pick at something, I'd want to know how you would change the game to make it better. But, honestly, they were great and thought-provoking videos anyway, so there.
yeah it's kind of cheating i guess to use mass effect 3, since it's such a hot topic? but i haven't seen many people rag on it for being badly written all the way through. i talked about these topics because they're not the ones that are beaten to death by everyone else, and i believe it's because of bad writing the game can not be saved by a new ending dlc. and that's something that really needs to be discussed, especially since this is the boasted "epic finale" of this series, advertised to be the be-all end-all of the "are video games art?" controversy (which imo is completely irrelevant).

thought about making a video about this but really it'd be far too long... because there's so much i'd change. in terms of the mars mission: less emphasis on how incompetent cerberus soldiers are, more emphasis on how cool liara is (since she's extremely dull throughout the entire game, except for the touching cutscene with the memory majigger). remove or rearrange the mandatory combat and squad command tutorials so they make sense for this: completely remove any combat involving the tram. empty tram comes, shep gets on, bomb goes off, "oh i guess cerberus is smarter than we think" without even saying it. add a section where shep and co. have to run around an outside area of the station until they find a ventilation shaft or something, while fighting off more cerberus soldiers. sand storm decreases visibility, decreases range of auto-aim. this adds more of the theme of "shepard and co. fight against all odds to get their job done" as opposed to "shepard and co. get lucky and wait for an opportunity for cerberus to do something stupid". another +1 on "the good guys are cool". chase scene should have more of a repercussion on the player, if she gets too far it's game over (which only applies to the final part of the chase, currently). remove the section where she runs behind a door, since that sometimes tricks you into trying to find another way around (there isn't one... the door just becomes active to open in a few seconds) and wastes a lot of time and kills the mood. or just add another way around it, to keep you running (why make the player stop running?). and the rest is passable.
Pretty good points. That door thing got me the first time I played it. I remember thinking, "she's a damn robot, why can't she permanently lock the door behind her in the time it takes me to catch up?"

The resolution of the textures decreased IIRC, in ME1 it was 1024, in ME2 it was 512 and i think it was the same in ME3, they also fucked over the lighting it seems like.

That, and i dont understand these shitty filters they stuck over the game, it's got this forced visual that makes my eyes hurt, it isnt crisp as ME2 it is just eye hurtingly bad imho.
You do realize that the ME3 thread is almost entirely biodrones, right? The opinion of the people in ANY game's thread is ALWAYS biased towards the game, without fail.
You obviously haven't read jack shit in the ME thread.
