I've saved someones life.
It was last year and we we're close friends, out of our group none of us knew she was having problems. Her grandfather had just died and she was clinically depressed. Well it came to her birthday and her family had decided to throw her a surprise party, I wasn't invited so I went to the spot where we normally met and just had fun, unfortunately this place was on the edge of a cliff. So I went there just to relax and think about everything and I see someone standing at the edge crying. As I walked closer I saw a note near here and immediately suspected it to be a suicide note. I sprinted towards her, stood next to her, held her hand and stared at the sunset. She turned to me and told me she couldn't deal with it anymore and she wanted to end it all. I couldn't think of anything to say for a while so I kinda just looked at the ground.
I knew it wasn't helping her because she let go of my hand and took a step forward. At that very moment it just came to me, I grabber her arm and said, 'If you go I'm coming with you because I can't spend a single day without you by my side.'
In the end she came back home to her family and to the surprise party that was waiting for her.
-snip-
My and my friend used to walk to primary school, there were countless times where I walked blindly across the road and he pulled me back less than a second before I got splattered.
I called an ambulace when my father had a seizure. They said that he might have died if I didn't.
I saved myself once from choking on a burrito. I swallowed it whole because I can swallow shit whole. I am a fucking seagull

Then she arz died?
Yea. My friend fell off a bridge. He could've died fi he had hit a little harder and I hadn't run hysterically screaming to my house which was like 100 yards away.
I donated blood once so I saved 3.
I hope.
There was a car accident (well, a motorbike had hit a car pretty bad) and the motor-cyclist was unconscious and not breathing. I did breaths and chest pumps until the ambulance came then they got his heart going again there and then with a defibrillator. They told me that if i had not done the chest pumps for the amount of time that i did (15 minutes at least) then blood would have stopped going to his brain and he would have died. I felt really dizzy afterward and shell-shocked. my hands had his blood on them...
This will be something that stays with me forever.
Also, doing artificial respiration (the kiss off life) and pumping someones chest will usually NOT bring them back to life in-front of you. it just keeps the blood flowing round their body and oxygenates it so the brain doesn't die so fast. 7 times out of ten they will die even if you do this.

Stuff like this happens to me too often, I'll be listening to my iPod and not hear the tram coming while I'm standing slightly on the tracks or whatever. I always step out of the way completely by chance.
i saved some tourist japanese kid while i was surfing
current pulled him out into a shallow surf zone, if i hadn't been there to get him out, he would have been picked up by some stray wave and thrown onto the razor sharp reef that characterizes the area
Once my cousins came down to see us. We were having a pool party and while every one was talking and shit, my baby cousin fell in the pool. Of course when that happened no one even knew until i happened to look at the general direction of the pool and saw what i though was her doll. I was like "did she drop her doll in the pool"? and then realizing it was her, we were like "oh fuck!!". I think about 6 people dove in after her. She made it ok, the paramedics said if she was in the for a few min longer she wouldve died. Im glad the sun reflected on the water and caught my attention.
Well you all know the story, but ill announce it again... I was boarding onto a plane, i saw multiple men acting in a weird manor. I pay them no mind, until one of them pulls out a gun while we are in flight. With cat like reflexes I jump behind the terrorist and disarm him with the now popular Chuck Norris karate chop it instantly kills him. I pick up his gun and shot down other gunmen (3) with curving the bullets. Unfortunately I was too late, they had already killed the pilot's with executioner style precision. I then leaped to steer the falling plane, it was at a 300 foot altitude going at a steady pace of 292 Mph. I safely landed the bullet hole riddled plane next to the local Dunkin Donuts. The passengers praised me, I bought them munchkins. I saved them from hunger
I saved a plastic bottle from falling in a trash can.
YOU MUST RECYCLE?!
no
My friend was jay walkin' all cool and I ran out to grab him before a car hit him. Dumb shit never listens to me.
Yeah, I've saved a few people from drowning in the Gulf Of Mexico and pulled a canoe out of dangerous rapids that was caught in a fallen tree. With people in it btw.

What makes people like you that stupid? Can you really not wait to get indoors somewhere to listen to your music? You'd really rather block out one of your senses (one of the major two you use) and risk dying because of it than just not listen to music for half an hour?
Saved a kid on a shopping trolley rolling down towards an intersection around 3 weeks ago.
Yep.
I don't see how, if anything you may of just prolonged their life, that is if they don't get killed by anything before they would of gotten cancer from smoking etc.
If you know what i mean.
I saved this one guy's life by removing his wallet so he doesn't get crushed to death by the sheer amount of cash he had in it.
I saved Captian Price when he was captured.
I haven't saved anyone, but when I was five I was saved from drowning by my mother, then I had to go an hour up the coast to Hudiksvall to get to the nearest emergency hospital.
No, but I saw someone who was in my preschool die.
Oh Fuck You whoever rated funny
What happened? :ohdear:
Yeah i have. And actually i had just smoked weed, so thanks for weed Columbians and other potheads.
And seriously i have saved a kitten. Are kittens' lifes counted `? Well anyhow, i opened my door to it and let her inside, it was a freezing winter morning. If I wouldn't open the door, it froze to death. So yeah, I can be proud of myself, because ima true lifesaver!
no but i killed a guy
Well... er.... my dad used to be a fireman so I guess he saved some lives..... so basically yeah, I've saved loads of lives due to the magic of genetics!
We were on bikes, and my idiot friend just goes when he gets to a crossing area, on foot or not. and there was like 10 cars coming, so i was like FUUUUUUUUCK and grabbed his brake lever thing.
I once saved my sister's life. She had aplastic anemia and I saved her life by serving as a bone marrow donor. I was only 2 years old at the time, though.
A great friend of mine back in High School was in great depression. And I mean real bad. I caught her trying to kill herself multiple times with pills, ropes and jumping off the local bridge. I grabbed her before she could she could fully climb up the railings. I actually started to tear a little bit and I continued to hug her. We talked a fair bit afterwards and I gave her a kiss on the cheek.
She now studies Textiles and Designing and is happier than ever.

I once saw my dog laying on the couch as lazy as she is. I walked up to her and pretended to sit where she was laying. She would usually get up and start moving to another area of the couch but this time she didn't. I looked at her and she literally looked dead. I lifted her head and it just fell down right away like a rag-doll. I was worried. The first thing that came to my mind was to piss her off and get some sort of reaction/movement. So I did what I normally do, grab her stomach and make some hissing sounds. She woke up immediately. Thank god.
I've saved my friend from drowning in my pool 2 years ago back in florida. He bet he could do more laps underwater than me without air, I did 7 and then he did 6 and just sunk to the bottom. I thought he was joking at first but then I dove in and grabbed his arms and dragged him out, he was unconscious and I gave him CPR(no mouth to mouth) and he started breathing again so I turned him on his side.
Got a scholarship for it.
