Well, I tried to save my son by telling him that his Uncle (my brother) killed me to get to power, but fat lot of help that was.
I saved my big cousin's life last summer. Me, my cousin and several other friends were doing hill walking and decided to go try Cornic Hill since it's pretty easy compared to some other hills on the west highland way. Anyway, we get to the top of it, and have to go in single file down a path to get to the bottom on the other side. It's alright at first but gradually I start to notice that there's a really huge drop on both sides of the path, and my cousin loses his balance and falls. I manage to grab his arm a spit second later and pull him up. Got a free beer for that at the nearby pub
I've talked my friend out of killing himself :/ [editline]05:54PM[/editline] Twice
In eighth grade this girl in the cafeteria started taking out these bags of pills and just taking handfuls and trying to swallow them down, I told her to stop and she wouldn't so I went and told an administrator who called an ambulance ASAP. She would have died if I didn't go seek help, because nobody else was.
I think I saved a friend on Steam from committing suicide. It was at a time were things were hard as hell for him. Now he has a GF and everything seems to be fine now...
Prevented a robber from sneaking in and maybe killing my parents. With a bat. (He had a short knife) I was 14.
I stopped a friend from cutting himself to death.
My friend was falling off of a building so I watched and he looked at me making him break his fall with his neck.
I would understand if we were talking about a river or any water with a current but I can't see much harm with if it's in a pool, providing the person attempting the rescue can swim and doesn't let the other person hold onto them directly.
Well, someone who is drowning will freak out for their life. They will push you under the water in a frenzy to get air. It's generally accepted that if you need to injure the person to prevent them from drowning you, it's OK. Or atleast, that's what I know. I've seen videos of lifeguards winding the person to get them out safely. It may hurt, but it's better than drowning. I potentially saved my sister once. She got her foot caught in a shitload of weeds at a lake, and started to drown. I dived down and tried ripping the weed out, but to no avail, so I dived down and bit that sucker in half. Felt completely badass.
i guess i saved a 2 kids lives. A ages ago in cold season my and 3 friends were at the river pissing around with an inflatable raft, when my friend and a younger kid where in it one oar snapped and the little kid dropped the other in surprise. they had drifter quite far down and nearing a small 1.5 meter waterfall with spikey rocks at the bottom so i climb an overhanging tree hung down and let them grab my legs. A few years later the guy i saved gets a new mate and beats me up for not liking the guy. God i wish i let him get killed, since ive been bullied by him and his mates. Bloody gratitude for you.
I saved a hedgehog XD My life isnt very interesting.
According to my ex-girlfriend, I saved her life by talking to her on facebook when she was attempting to commit suicide. But that sounds like bullcrap to me, she always was a bit of an attention whore ¬.¬
Never saved somebody but got saved :3:. It was good way back, when I was around 8-9. Was playing at the river with the floating ring, swinging from side to side, and out of sudden I'm upside down with my head in water. Few seconds latter a older girl (18-20 probably) flipped it. I still talk to her often, she's a cool fella'.
I'm an EMT it's my job to save peoples lives. Most recently we had a accidental morphine OD. The patient was a 40 something y/o female who had been drinking earlier in the evening and took to many of her morphine pills for her chronic back pain by mistake. When we arrived on scene she was laying in bed and wasn't breathing. We ventilated her with a BVM until the paramedics arrived and gave her narcan to reverse the OD. No more then 10 seconds after the narcan was administered she started breathing on her own, pulled the nasal airway out and started yelling at us for waking her up because she was dreaming about her dead brother. I have never seen someone go from near death to pissed off and yelling at me so fast. After that it was a pretty uneventful ride to the hospital.
last month it wose hella hot outside and there wose a homeless guy sitting infront of my apartment building , he looked like he wose gona cruble into sand , his lips were like the top of a biscuit no one did anything and i got pissed when i saw (i wose looking from the balcony) that ppl waled through him and did nothing so i got a 3 liter pepsi bottle filled with mineral water and gave it to him.The guy blessed me and gracefully drank the water. Dunno if he wose gona dehydrade to death but i still think i saved him tl;dr: Saved a bum from dying from dehidration Also men and 2 other friends where staying at a 3star hotel, there wose a naked cable stretching out of the wall, one of my friends was acting like a jackass jumping around the place , he almost steped on the naked end of the cable (with bare feet)and i grabbed his t-shirt and pulled him aside landing on the bed.We werent shure if there wose electricity running through it and we called hotel maintainence and they took out a electricity testing gadget and it turned out there wose electricity running through it. After that my friend wose really ashamed and stopped acting like an dumbass :buddy: tl;dr : saved a jackass from electricuting his arse
Well I've gotten friends out of fights with dangerous people. Kinda. Maybe that counts for something.
I saved a dog's life once. Taking the bus home from school one day (I was the last one on) and I noticed a dog chained to a street sign all by himself, no collar. I notified authorities and voila. :buddy:
My mom was having a seizure and swallowing her tongue and i saved her from that :)
I'm sure that I have... I just don't know I did. What's that theory called when a butterfly flaps its wings in Brazil that it eventually causes a hurricane over Miami (or something to that effect)?
Sup guys, paramedic Aven here. :D I save lives every day. Do I count?
I've never saved someone else's life but a woman once saved me from drowning when I was on holiday many years ago. I must've been about 7.
