at the same time.
I'm heading to England in general sometime late this year. Would be rad if Facepunch was having a meetup at some point while i was over there. Irregardless, (It's a word i swear) i'll visit garry's offices and take pictures outside.
I remember a school trip there.
Lots of white boxes stacked up and a cabinet full of all this guys stuff that he dredged up from the bottom of the Thames. The latter was interesting, but much of is is really just a goddamn joke. I've been there twice since, and both times it's just strengthened my opinion that much art is really just an overbloated waste of time. I like stuff that looks good, but a lot of the stuff in the Tate seems to really just there because it's 'different', and I'm really not interested.
Can't go wrong with the National History Museum though!
you are dumb
go to the tate modern its a really good cultural landmark imo (also visit the saatchi gallery as it's free), london dungeons are a waste of money and filled to the brim with gimmicks you can find anywhere. stay away from TOURIST EXPERIENCES and try to just explore the city and have an adventure.
One of the absolute best and most underrated experiences you can have while traveling is eating. Go to a good resturant. My sister had a one month internship at the Gordon Ramsey resturant York & Albany in london during her chef training, from what I heard it was pretty swag. It's expensive but it might be one of the best meals you've ever had and is sure to be an experience. Don't go alone tho, bring some friends (or facepunchers).

Wondering if anyone wants to meet up at a place like Piccadilly Circus, any day is fine for me for a meetup. I would like to meet a fellow facepuncher, eat somewhere and stuff. Not sure if this fits in Fast Threads or General Discussion though. Oh also I'm from Finland
Avoid people that say "fam, bruv and bled" they will make you wish you never came to London. They are easy to spot since they don't know how to wear a hat. Let alone the have a horrible choice in clothing.
Sure I'm just 1,712.3 km away from there
yeah why not, pm me and i'll give you my number
if you're around till like saturday (or some weekday evening, I need to check my film schedule) evening then go grab a beer, some food and hit the cinema or something!

Well, I'm assuming you've read all that I've typed. I think the Tate picks art based upon "hey, what will people not expect to see in here?" I can appreciate pretty paintings and mechanical beauty seen in vehicles, weapons, furniture and civil engineering, but a pile of white boxes? No. 100 million painted porcelain seeds? No.
These people get dragged along for a ride on the wild side by curators whilst a mechanic working at Rolls-Royce spends day and night designing a part of the engine that's made to life 250,000 tons of airplane off the ground and gets no reignition. I know these sorts of things have a place in a museum too, and maybe that's why they're not in galleries, but I don't see why not - they're interesting as hell.
Go to The Forbidden Planet man, It's a great store.

Yes, because lord knows only complex things are art. Oh, and only if you happen to like them.

I know a tons of people who say those words and they're some of the nicest people I've ever met.

Err, that's like your opinion and all because that's literally how it is; If you think there is beauty in mechanics then why is it any wrong to see beauty in creativity? It's not exactly like art is drawing interest or sucess away from great inventions. You're basically just saying "This is crap because I don't like it".

England is only 4 towns big, you're never further than a stones throw from Garry's office

If you are going to London, expect a helluva train journey to get the Walsaw
If you are going to London, expect a helluva train journey to get the Walsaw
I'm going all over England, although not Scotland. I just looked up and found that London-Walsaw is 2.5 hours. It'll take longer to get to Sydney then it will to Walsaw.
Come to Western Australia. There is plenty to see here.

Garrys office is quite far away from London and is kinda' a bitch to get to in that there aren't train station that close by. Also it's not that interesting -_-

He came out shortly after me taking this image and jumped on top of my car and started screaming "ya damn noobs" and whacked the car with his smaller
ban hammer, I tried to drive off but he gave me 1 out of 10 and permanently banned me. It just wasn't worth the hassle.
I thought garry rented a floor in some other building.
They moved when it flooded!
