I can tell you first hand the Disney parks are doing very very well. Especially with their slave labor program that they have.

I'm actually gonna be a part of that probably. You mean the college thing right?

Yeah its awful. Don't do it. I have been working at WDW for close to 5 years and I see groups come and go every 3-6 months and most of them are miserable and can't wait to leave by week 2. However it may depend where you work too. Magic Kingdom is the worst.

I'm guessing you work at Disney? I've heard from friends about how shitty their entire job system is. Ironically, though, it's one of the main places highschoolers around here try to apply for because they generally have a bunch of jobs available.

Too bad, doing it anyway

Yeah I started there in high school. I reduced my status to work whenever I want since I have other employment but with all the budget cuts it's just gone downhill. They bitch about having to spend 10 dollars to fix something even though they have had record profits. Of course my areas problem is in the leadership not wanting to spend anything so they can get bonuses.

Well its definitely busy that's for sure. Hope you enjoy it and have fun learning how to point...
A friend of mine works there for the college thing and says it was rough, but that she had a good time and misses it. She also mentioned that the first time you see someone putting on a character costume and you see the rows of heads or whatever, it breaks your heart.
Disney isn't changing, you're getting older.
As a corporation, it's doing well. As a nostalgic item, it's terrible.
To be honest, i think disney is trying to get better.
you seen all the recent movies they are making? Tron sequel was good imo, they have pixar to keep them up, The Muppets movie is badass. Tangled is awesome. Much more stuff i can't list off my head right now.
They have a amazing theme parks full of people rushing everything everyday.
Not to mention Disney XD is one of the best cartoon lineups of today (rarely any new shows that are terrible combined with classic 90's-80's Cartoons and awesome superhero cartoons.)
my only complaint would probably be their pop music section. they ruin good songs with terrible remixes.
example of the terrible pop music:

compare to the original:

DisneyXD is only beaten by Nickelodeon on the BAAAAAD scale.
I think it is, ever since Walt's death and everything after 2000 has been a shitfest. Look at the Disney channel now and it's like they're dumbing down kids.
working for the company, i can tell you: no.
You guys do know that disney bought out marvel? Then they released an extreme flurry of box-office hit superhero movies.
That along with the fact that almost every 4-10 year old in america (That has TV) watches disney channel, and families watch all the *insert generic 3d kids movie here* flicks.
actually, not necessarily with the Marvel film bit, all of those are still under Paramount since the buyout didn't effect pre-existing contracts. and i think Paramount has contracts for all of the current Avengers' films.
i think that disney is an evil conglomerate of out of touch mormon weirdoes and shitty hack producers who spend their time either crushing all creative and interesting thought or trying to bilk the standardless masses out of their money by making overly expensive vapid cartoons that any other decent animation studio could do better and for a tenth of the budget
and then they make it 3d
So to answer your question, I have no idea. But I hope they are.
whoa nelly, not touching this hodge podge of stupid
You do realize that most of the marvel movies that people remember and like the most came out before that, right
you mean the buyout that happened at the end of 2009? had no idea iron man 2, thor and captain america all came out in 2009, where the fuck was i?
I am trying to figure out why I saw a lot of their stores either close or reduce size in my state.
the internet makes the disney store completely useless
They're doing great if you ignore every creative output done by them in the last decade or so.
