How in God's name does Subway still exist with Quiznos around?
Imo I don't really think it'd be tragic to anyone if subway was closed down.
I would cry.
hahah you snipped the op.
Glad i saved it, but i won't be a dick and post it i suppose.
Um, ok? I'm not embarrassed or anything. It is just, if I express my opinion in the OP, then holy shit, shitstorm from all directions.
There's Subways everywhere and not so many Quiznos around.
I go to Subway but if I come across Quiznos I'd go there, their mesquite chicken sub had me sold forever.
How in God's name is this thread still open when every possible opinion has been expressed at this point?
Subway make a lot of money
Quiznos make much less money than Subway.
This man speaks the truth according to wikipedia Subway is making $9.0305 billion in revenue while Quiznos is making $130 million in revenue.
I go to subway because it's closer.
And last time I got Quiznos it tasted like shit.
Afraid of being physically assaulted for expressing my opinion, this thread is now a Subway v Quiznos debate thread.
Because Quiznos tastes like shit and you have no option of toppings other than the peppers and pickles at the side thing they have. It's fucking stupid.
I've worked for subway and quiznos. Quiznos is much better, and much higher quality food.

I'm sorry, are we talking about the same restaurant here?
Because, Quiznos is fucking disgusting.

It's like...you can never be moderate about anything, you either hate something, or love something. In every thread you post in where you CAN post your opinion.
No, I don't either "love" or "hate" things, I'm very reasonable and actually evaluate things ;)
I've been to Quiznos about a dozen times, and each time, the food was severely subpar and left me with a terrible taste in my mouth, and it simply reeked of terrible quality. Who knows, perhaps the lot of stores I've gone to were bad apples, but they were absolute garbage in comparison to my local subway and my local deli (which trumps them all, of course)
and of course I post my opinion in a thread, that's the purpose of a forum, is it not?
[editline]11:42PM[/editline]
also why are you keeping track of my posting that's just flat out weird
I've only had Quiznos once, and I wasn'y exactly a fan of it. Granted, the only thing I tend to order at Subway is the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and I got the same thing at the Quiznos, it could have very well been that their other sammiches were better, but due to stubbornness I may not have known it.
Just incase this point hasn't already been made: The shitty commercial for Quiznos with the fucking cats gnawing on instuments. It's not cute. It's annoying and disgusting.

Subway > Quiznos
plus Quzinos is expensive
OP, Please be more specific with your thread title.
I came here thinking Quiznos is a new form of transportation alternative to sub ways but instead I found out it was a restaurant!
We non-American/non-European don't know what a Quiznos is.

They were awesome when I lived in California.
Fuck this. Pot bellys is FAR superior to both these chains.
As I work in downtown Chicago, I have a wide selection of fast food sammich joints. All vary on their specialities, pros and cons, price and distance. So sometimes, it can be pretty tough to make a decision.
1) Subway
Its okay, fast food generic cold/toasted subs. The sammich makers are ALWAYS indian up here.. and their english is poor and they speak faster than 400 words a minute. Hard to understand them during lunch time. They tend to fuck up all the time. I do like the 5 dollar footlongs deal, and the quantity to price is great. Also the wide selection on what you can put on your sub is awesome. I got a subway 1 1/2 blocks away from where I work, so when I need it quick and cheap; i get it there.
2) Quiznos.
Awesome for the toasted subs, even though I know places better. Their prices and variety are good, and the quantity to price is alright. a 10% sales tax doesn't make these cheaper, but hey.. I find myself satisfied after a sub. But its quite a walk away, and I rather go with something else.
3) Jimmy Johns.
Awesome cold subs, however you're restricted to the menu and have very little say on what you want on the sammich. The subs are also small, and the price-to-quantity is poor. But the quality to the price is alright. The bread is FANTASTIC. The vito is the mans sub there. I got about a million of these closing in on me. The Jimmy Johns to Starbucks ratio is about the same.
4) Potbellies.
Whoa, what can I say? Its a chicago classic, and its a rarity when you're up here (depending on where you are at. I only know of 4 in the chicagoland area. ). You get what you pay for, and the quality, delicious! Nothing more I can say about potbellies. They give you a choice on what you want, and throw that as one of the bigs, fucking fantastic! Only problem is that its quite a walk to get there, about 3-4 blocks for me. But hell, its well worth it.
5) Mr Submarine
This is a chicago classic as well. They've been around for ages, and for a good reason. Their bread choice is Turano. Which is QUITE excellent. Also a very wide selection of subs available. I like them, and their prices are good. But for the distance they are located from me, its quite a long walk to get there.
6) Siagon Sisters
This is a small kiosk in the Chicago French Market off the Metra Ogilvie TC concourse. And well, what can I say? Its pricey, its delicious, and its convenient. If I got a teleconference that I have to rush to and hit the mute button as soon as I say my name, this is the place. Im in and out. And the sub selection is limited, but very unique. They also have VERY nice soup which will fill you up. The prices are fair, but expect to pay around $9 for your sub (incl tax!). Forget about buying your drinks there, you'll cough up an extra 2-4 bucks for that. Its all that specialty soda and stuff.. nothing truely refreshing like a nice coca-cola or Mt dew.
So I dunno about you guys, but I got a fine selection. Subway and Quiznos might be big hitters for you guys.. but venture out there to the smaller shops. You might be in for a delicious sammich heaven. Or some disappointment. Chicago however, rarely disappoints me when it comes down to the lunch-time only fast-food places in this city.
Because Subway's commercials aren't nearly as irritating.
TASTY TORPEDO FOR 5 DOLLARS!!!!
motherFUCKER.
Subway 5$ footlong with soda, around 6 7 dollars.
Quzinno's large sandwich with soda, 12-13.
Why are you worried about it? Competition is a good thing.
If it was only Quiznos then Quiznos could do mostly anything and not have to worry about other sub shops because people are gonna eat there anyway if they want subs.
Subway is way better because it's close to my house
I prefer subway. And it seems like the rest of Facepunch does too...
subway and quiznos are for fags
cousin's is where it's at
I ate at Subway only once. Not bad, not bad.
