He asked how long it would take for a plant to be fully grown, not the hours of light.
And Zeemlapje replied with: 18 hours light 6 hours dark = vegetative growth 12 hours light 12 hours dark = flowering How long a plant needs to flower untill it's ripe depends on the strain. What that means is with that much light it still depends on the strain.
Yes, although he said I was wrong. Wich is not true.
Yes, although he said I was wrong. Wich is not true.
In your post you've stated the time it takes for a plant to start flowering depends on a strain, which is not true.
No, I said it depends on the strain when the plant is fully grown and ready. That includes flowering.
In your post you've stated the time it takes for a plant to start flowering depends on a strain, which is not true.
Uh yes thats true. Maybe you should learn some shit before you start acting like you're king grower. The start of flowering depends greatly on the strain. Outdoors, Indicas typically are finished by end of sept. mid october. Sativas can range from october to november. There are execptions but this is some pretty common knowledge.
i friend of mine grew a big sativa indoors which took a long time to flower. You cant force it to flower since true sativas naturally grow around the equator where theres 12 hours of light and darkness all year
The start of flowering depends greatly on the strain.
Oh really.
Outdoors, Indicas typically are finished by end of sept. mid october. Sativas can range from october to november. There are execptions but this is some pretty common knowledge.
Cannabis Sativa plants need to flower 10 to 12 weeks untill they're ripe. Cannabis Indica plants need to flower 8 to 9 weeks untill they're ripe. The time a cannabis plant starts flowering outdoors is usually after the days start to get shorter, so around end June and beginning of July. And just to refresh your memory:
After germinating and planting a seed how long does it take to grow into a plant and start budding/flowering?
No it does not depend on the strain how long it takes for a plant to go from vegetative growth to flowring. This all depends on how long your plants get light. Indoors it's easy to control this but outdoors it all depends on how the weather will be when the days get shorter.
i friend of mine grew a big sativa indoors which took a long time to flower. Your friend's got balls man, unless he topped/FIM'd it. Also, lots of sun over here. Gotta love outdoors. :350:
It's been raining for two weeks, still my plants are doing fine.

Coming very nicely Zeemlapje. Care to send some purple widow my way? =D
For personal use only. :ssh:
Haha. Any tips for the first time grower? Seems like you are quite the expert on growing.
I'm a first timer myself, only tip I can give is use common sense, invest in proper equipment and genetics (seeds/clones), plan your stuff and don't tell anyone if it's illegal in your country.
Looks like you've done alot of research to be this successful then :buddy:

Some beautiful ladies you have there
The back 2 are quite a lot taller than the others so i couldn't get the rest of them in the shot. I have no idea how old they are here i took it probably over a week ago
looking sweet, when are you flowering them?
Started 5 days ago, a bit earlier than i would have hoped because i think the bottom 2 are too small but the growbox is just too tiny and there wasn't enough room to veg any longer.
do you know what strain it is or is it bagseed? it looks like a hybrid/indica
4 headed monster. :v:
oh my that's beautiful
What the shit...
do you know what strain it is or is it bagseed? it looks like a hybrid/indica
4 of them are a mainly indica hybrid and the one is a mainly sativa hybrid (i would have never have guessed it was mainly sativa from its looks). Four are early misty, which were meant to go outside and the other is satori. Pretty obscure strains I know. Me and a buddy are going to start growing at his place soon, we've bought everything we need and i'm confident it's going to be the best grow i've done. We've built our own growbox and it's so much cheaper. We reckon we'll be able to fit in at least 10 fully matured plants in there. Also a 400W HPS and we'll buy an equally powerful MH when it's time to start flowering them, but I won't even be starting it for like a month [editline]11:19PM[/editline]
4 headed monster. :v:
Is that as short as it looks or is it just the angle?
Is that as short as it looks or is it just the angle?
Its just the angle I think... Scroll up to see a side on view. (The stem looks beastly)
How do you smoke the plants exactly? Do you just take the leafs and smoke them? Or do you have too refine them and shit?
How do you smoke the plants exactly? Do you just take the leafs and smoke them? Or do you have too refine them and shit?
You have to wait for the plant to show it's sex and let the females flower untill they're ripe. Only the female's flowers contain the most trichomes with cannabinoids.
