I watched it again after everyone bitched at me the last time I said I didn't like it and came out hating it even more
Also, 2001: A Space Odyssey
Dude what do you have against space?
[editline]23rd April 2011[/editline]
Anyway I hated Monsters vs Aliens but everyone I know liked it.
Cloverfield. I suppose it was a different idea, but just because something is different, doesn't mean its good.
Fight Club.
And after seeing The Prestige, Inception.
Predators was pretty good too. I was surprised with the amount of effort that they put into it, but so much more could have been done IMO
That's mostly to do with the fact that it was a sequel to Predator rather than fucking crossover. I don't know who the fuck though it was a good idea, but crossing two wildly different film series over and treating them with all the good grace of a straight to dvd b-movie was the worst decision anyone could ever make.

It was a comic book first I think, there's also Batman VS The Predator.

PontyPool was such a cool original idea and I loved it just for that, but it could have been done SO much better.

You're doing it wrong.
No Country for Old Men.
So fucking boring.
[editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
The Hurt Locker
it was a disjointed and muddled mess of lackluster action and unlikeable characters that never rose above mild entertainment
Oh my god yes. I hated everything about that movie.
i rated you agree
until i saw you didn't like no country for old men...
I don't see how anyone can actually hate No Country For Old Men, its one of the few movies I can call perfect.
Scarface.... Was just way too overrated, The Departed, and Goodfellas were much better Gangster flicks
No offense or anything but people who tend not to like 28 Days Later tend not to understand it's theme or underling messages and just see it as a shity zombie film.
[editline]23rd April 2011[/editline]
Also 28 weeks later, everyone who didn't like 28 days liked this piece of shit sequel. It has no themes carrying over from the first and it just was a disappointment considering how much I liked the first.
What underlying message?
I think the underlying motif was the depths people are willing to go to and how when push comes to shove, we're little better than the ravenous, bloodthirsty infected that the characters are fighting (E.G. The soldiers attempting to rape the girls, Jim going on an extreme melee revenge because of it.). I'm having a little difficulty explaining it, but it's been pretty much the only theme in zombie related fiction recently.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
How To Train Your Dragon
Alien vs. Predator 1,2
Winter's Bone
Juno
Jennifer's Body
:colbert:
I loved How to Train Your Dragon :frown:
I loved How to Train Your Dragon :frown:
one of the soldiers explains it - "people killing people. that's how it's always been"
Tron Legacy
or reused plot the movie
Tron Legacy
or reused plot the movie
I just thought the acting was awkward and the story was rather incoherent. The fact that it was reused didn't bother me.
(Disclaimer: Negative statements do not apply to Jeff Bridges)
Tron Legacy was a fucking dismal movie. Possibly the only movie I can truly say I hate. It was pure unadulterated shit.
After watching 'I Love You Philip Morris' with my younger cousin I can definitely say that was not a good experience.
Paranormal activity 2.
A lot of people I know said it was so scary and intense and shit. I literally fell asleep in it.
District 9. I don't know, it tried to have this kind of a documentary approach, but a lot of the things in the movie felt like it couldn't happen in real life. I'm not talking about aliens coming to Earth, but the way people handled the entire arrival. It wasn't bad movie at all, definitely more deep and interesting than some other movies but people seemed to go nuts about it for reasons unknown to me.
Grown ups. Fucking shit man, I excpected more from that cast.
Also Napoleon Dynamite it got annoying and then really fucking boring
I don't own any opinions about the hurt lockers film quality but it was entertaining
[editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
that's fucking right i enjoyed it
