they're both meh-tal anyway. i didn't mind alice cooper or motorhead turning up because although they're big, well known artists they're at least interesting on stage and aren't painfully generic groove-thrash shit.

LoG are pretty good live at least, pretty boring on record.
Machine Head used to be a lot better, they got a bit bro-ish few years back, picked back up then got a bit shit again

I had the intention of checking out LoG during Hellfest, but it was pouring rain and the last night of the festival so I just went to my tent and tried to get some sleep before we took off. On the bus ride back every single person asked what I thought of their set, and they were shocked to know that I didn't see them.
Same thing with Machine Head, they're pretty mediocre and Napalm Death were playing at the same time.
i have actually seen them live at download and i wasn't exactly what you'd call excited by them tbh. Bands like them are part of the reason im so thoroughly disinterested in modern mainstream metal, there's an absolute mountain of stuff exactly like them and i can't summon the will to listen to stuff like that. Im genuinely beginning to doubt i'll go to Bloodstock this year
