uuuuh I don't. it's really good and it's very easy to argue that as a whole their material far outweighs anything on that solo release
okay homie, here's my arguement: i enjoyed the solo record more. reasons: There were bits and pieces that I didn't expect to hear in a j-pop album. on an initial listen, it was a fairly euphoric listen.. imo a hidden gem from this year. the midori album was intriguing but came across as showy as compared to other insane things to come from Japan. People were apparently amazed with how both "soft" and "harsh" Goto can be.. It's nothing new tbh, there's a ton of bipolar artists.. Instrumental-wise it was a decent fusion of jazz and hardcore. I've heard a lot more intense styles of fusion and all in all it seemed like a gimmick. arguement over, matter officially dealt with, i'm sorry pls forgive.

You're wrong and dumb. not only that, but 5 albums of diverse material and the 2 demos destroy. no one is amazed by the "soft" and "harsh" element other than casual fans that only listen to one album (you know who I'm talking about) [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] who even gives a shit about merzbow [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] btw if you think that is somehow the first album to combine pop and avant garde music you have no idea what you're talking about. judy and mary has done that, uh, jun togawa? ridiculous.
Oh my god shut the fuck up
if you don't want to discuss music don't come here tia
It's not a discussion, it's who can shit on the biggest golden cow and then discuss at length about why opinions are objective

It felt authentic. Zorn is getting a bit naff for me these days anyway.. Sure Naked City was decent, I'll admit Midori was probably better. Still gimmicky though, did they do any worthwhile albums?
