decided to buy my parents decent prsents this year so i bought my dad a bottle of Laphroig and my mum a bottle of Hendrick's gin.
Get some sweet vermouth and some campari, make a Negroni using the gin, and float the laphroaig on top. Smoky Negroni. Great drink. If you have it lying around, some bitters too
Although it may be a little weird with Hendricks.

Laphroaig is an end of night drink for me. It's so peaty it kills my taste buds. If you want to enjoy lots of whiskies I would advise against drinking heavily peated Islays a lot
